I've seen some altezza/is cars making some serious power off those. That, a vq35de, 1uzfe and maybe a stripped down gutted fc with an AE111 4age built to the ******* brig soon. Like one day, it would be cool as **** to see happen. Bring on the crazy motor swaps!

meh a 20v ae111 4age I would never touch again, cool engine, makes cool sounds and looks cool with itbs but so gutless and no tq and takes quite a bit of work and money to make it fast. I guess it all depends on what you want for it tho. thats just my opinion after owning one tho.

vq35 would be sick tho, I was close to doing that into my corolla, but my wallet reminded me I couldnt :p

never drove a n/a 13b, but lets say with a 20v you'll be lucky to get 135hp and 100tq. which isnt that great for what you'll pay for a complete one with wiring etc, then you'll need a rwd tranny froma 16v 4age. initial D fanboys have turned anything that involves a corolla to be stupid expensive.

rb30's dont come around very often, theres a couple i think around edmonton that are bored out 26det's, rb25det's complete motorsets with tranny, wiring, ecu and go for about $1800-2000 CAD I think

Nah, i'm talking like LEGIT factory de motors. High compression n/a factory dual cam. They're everywhere in nz/aus...... Bummer that north american isn't getting in on that dope **** too.

No doubt they'd run cheaper than their det older brothers. Alright, imma stop clusterfucking but i think this **** is cool.

RB30's are not as expensive as you'd think. . .Allen Petersen was talking/working with some guys in Australia on building them. . .he used to live in Lethbridge but moved to B.C. somewhere. . .

i know I have mis matched aero.. waiting next paycheck for bn sides.. Yeah i know, my gf drew a big heart on my hood..
new color for my vertt..

Just bought some dtss eliminator bushings and gp sports tierods! Now I just need to install them on my next day off.
The new bride Lowmax seat is bolted on the floor! drilled out the spot welds seat floor brackets on the floor. Plenty of head room now. I feel short in my car. I also welded a bash bar to hold up the front bumper

I still have a spare t2 motor sitting on the side.. I just need a O ring kit and apex seals to get the build going.. Then slowly collect all the t2 parts.. I still need a t2 tranny, driveshaft, diff, turbo, injectors, LIM... damnit i want to turbo this car alreadyyy.. I know this is a dumb question, but anybody knows if its possible to run the s5 NA harness and ecu with safc on a t2 motor? What if i did that and just ran low boost?

cant wait for the next drift eventt!

I would highly recommend you DONT run the n/a ecu. Even on stock boost. It will work, yeah. But do you really want to risk blowing it up? **** it. What's one more motor build? You can probably do that **** in your sleep. Gp sides dont look all that bad with bn on this car. It looked aids on the gold car for some reason. ****. That makes me want a vert. There's a handful i've seen that looked dope as ****. People want an arm and a leg for em here though. Hatches for $800-1000 RUNNING all day.

I thought the NA ECU had no provisions for pulling timing under boost and stuff like that? I could be wrong though, I don't know a lot about that.

NA ecu doesn't quite understand boost. It wasn't designed to. It can compensate to some degree but would i beat the **** out of the car with one drifting? No way. To get me back and fourth to work driving normal? Yeah.

Their's someone on the forum that tried it. It ended up working fine, it just didn't pull timing under boost. IIRC, the AFR's were fine though. Low to mid 12's in boost. He just had to retard the timing manually a little bit so it ran like poop at low rpm.

I agree though. I wouldn't recommend it for drifting. A brand new full MS2 kit is what... 300-400$? Try picking one of those up. It opens your options to so much more on modding the car too.

Yeah, and an s5 turbo ecu.....

If you dont plan on making 350+hp you dont need anything else.

You can run an S5 TII with an N353 (S5 Vert ecu)

I ran it like that for 3 years with 10lbs boost. My car ran into some weird problems though and I went with an N370. I don't reccomend using the NA ecu for anything more then moving the car around or testing to see if the car runs.

The story behind it is that every vert is turbo'd except in the states so it's mapped for boost as well, whether this or true or not don't know but that's what I went off of.
