why not just buy parts that you know will fit in the first place?

Secret element, mazdatrix, uras, super now....etc....

We ALREADY have setups that work for our cars....unless you have a manual rack, they you need to get creative.

Edit: Try to swap in an s13 rack if you REALLY want to use those.

Best method IMO is rack spacers and good knuckles that drop the tie rod. Nothing tricky.

I was just wondering. I stumbled across them ovr the net.
Was thinking strip the rack down. Drill out and re-tap the thread pitch in.
Never done a angle mod or even fuked with Rack's so i figure why not blow $160 to
do sum R&D and if it works out and is a solid setup why not? If it doesnt work
junk the rack and sell them on the local CL for cheap...

All in all i'll still end up with the tie rod ends for the moded knucks...
And the tie rods have like a built in spacer and are 21mm in thickness ??? i believe.

thats really the worst idea i have heard in a while. why go through all the trouble and work just to end up fruitless and out of money. for 160$ you can be having fun on the track instead of blowing cash....

Waste of time. Really.

If you want more angle, rack spacers/fc specific rods and some groovy rod ends....and you really dont even need those unless you're really low and want to dial out some bumpsteer.

damn, I haven't heard this before (haven't really done research on it yet mind you). I'm just starting drifting and won't need more angle for a while but I didn't know the manual racks were any different then power racks other then steering ratio. I obviously have a manual rack, whats the difference between them may I ask and why wouldn't the an FC setup (super now, etc) for power steering work for me? thanks.

the threads are different on the inner tie rod. so what you do is buy knuckles from jtp and you dont really need anything else.
