Mazdaspeed vs kaaz vs tomei vs os giken 2 ways

Looking to pick up a 2 way diff and saw theres a new mazdaspeed 2 way for sale ready to go for an alright price. Anybody with experience with them? Im guessing there not that aggressive and should save up for a kaaz tomei or evem an os giken unit. Any input?

Mazdspeed 2way is just a re-badged KAAZ 2way. Clutch based LSD, mine looks solid and should be pretty good - but I won't be drifting with it, only circuit.

OS G is the ****...

the engagement is adjustable and you can go from 2-way to 1.5 if you want.

I love mine.

Smart move... I promise you will love it and it is well worth the extra coin...

Look on their site and they give you part numbers on the stub shafts -I remember I had to switch mine.

I have 2 years of absoulute rape on my Tomei. **** locks harder than most diffs. There also a rebadged Kaaz i believe, but with a higher torque rating.

Just a evaluation of the deftforce from my friend which use to drift a S13 and now has a LS FC.
::Written for S13 drivers::
Description

Considered the definitive "drifting" differential by many. This diff has the most aggressive lockup characteristics and the biggest clutch plates of all the diffs available.

- Type: 2 way clutch type

- Price: ~$1050

- Number of plates: 16

- Can be used in open diff case or VLSD diff case.

- Largest clutch plates out of all the diffs.

- Highest lock up rate. 93% lockup.

- Comes with bearings, gaskets, seals, and new ring gear bolts.

Pros

- Best damn diff for drifting. Period.

- Oil changes every 6 months.

- Super aggressive.

- Makes the car snappy and hold rediculous angles. Angles previously thought to only exist on the moon.

- Did I mention its the best thing ever?

Cons

- Price. Its expensive. Whatever I dont care. I like quality.

- Uses super special fluid thats expensive. I use Royal Purple cause I dont care.

- Its loud. Yeah so what. If you buy this diff you better expect it.

Driving Impressions

This diff was hand crafted by Satan himself. Now, dont get me wrong, I was skeptical at first when I bought it. Honestly could a different diff that has slightly bigger clutch plates, higher lockup rate, and a name like Deftforce really be better...?

**** YES IT CAN! I was amazed by this diff. I dare say its the best thing I've done to my car. The diff holds REDICULOUS angles and allows for the funnest and most aggressive transitions I have ever tried. The difference between this and other diffs is very noticable. I will never own any other diff ever again.

I personally like the os giken for its adjustability between 2-way and 1.5 way. then again, I daily my car and like grip driving as well as drift duty so to each his own. I have never had any aftermarket lsd before though so I'm in the dark here listening to advice.

any other reason is just made up.

you want your wheels locked at virtually all times when drifting, so 2 way.

Right so then why do JTP, Mike Essa and Dave use 1.5ways?

Right so why do other drivers use 2 ways? Preference? Really no need to be a dummy about it.
