If it has a board, then I frickin love it! ****, look at my avatar! Skate (shortboard, longboard, and freebord), snow, wake, surf. And have always been into it. The only thing I love as much as board sports (besides females) is driving! The only feeling as good as frontsiding a 30 ft rail 10 ft off the ground is holding a slide around a long hairpin on a mountain pass! Used to race BMX back in the day too.

I think IMO its because drifting is more of an extreme sport as supposed to a "motorsport." So thats how I see it, you may disagree, but I see alot of similarities, especially in the personalities of the two different groups. Cause most of our car meets here, we all bring our boards and skate around... sometimes.

+1 for this. I still have a nice bike, though I don't get around on it quite like I used to. I gave my baby blue Oxygen Argon low tops to my brother when I hurt my knee for the last time.

Frankly, I see Drifting as ballet on tires. Drifting is more art than motorsport. It's all about how pretty your slide is rather than raw times. I'm a data person. I love numbers, trying to shave tenths off of my time, which is why I don't really understand the drive for drifting as a "motorsport." Motorsports started as a way for people to test out new performance parts to make them faster. I understand drifting as testing new parts, but it's not to be faster. I guess that i'm older mentally than I am physically, because I definately don't understand the draw of drifting.

Lol, to each their own. I've done both excessivley, airsoft was far more rewarding when you are playing with a decent set of folks who don't think they are some bad *** solid snake/rambo/deltaforce member or something. But hey, if you played both and like paintball better, stick with it. Just give some serrious airsoft a try, you might change your mind ;]

I have both, and agree that airsoft is way more fun! Although I have a fully auto mp5 with a suppressor, so they don't even know where I'm shooting from, its so awesome seein people try to hide, yet they don't know where to. Puts a smile on my face

You should get an l96/psg/drag/w2000/etc. You'll wet yourself. The scope makes that feeling so much cooler. I suggest the utg 3x9 40mm with the glareshield. Cheap and effective.

Same type of thing really, you let your own style out.

i can totally relate to this. ive been doing every board sport since i could ride anything.

when i started wakeboarding people asked what it was when i carried it to the boat. and now i have started bmx riding. and i must say i love it,

i knwo for a fact the first 2 years i owned a car i put more miles on my rollerblades then my car. 3 sets of wheels and 2 bearings in one summer. it was sweet.

most of my bike's downfall's came from deep mud lol. mud up past the cranks and good 6' of air was pretty regular up at the cottage. not much street riding for me... always wanted a nice trek bike. cause the mongoose mountain bikes got old because of how much they weighed.

Hell yeah.

I'm hitting up a couple of concrete parks in the carolina area this week. Probably going to charlotte to ride street. The T-1 barcode is back in action with a borrowed set of wheels. Tuff II skyway front. Sealed! Need a shorter, lower frame though. I'll wait till the blackeye pistola is on sale for $150. I'm going to build up a freecoaster wheel soon too. Some seller on ebay is getting rid of federal v1 freecoasters for $79.99 shipped. Dont tell the forums.....bmxboard especially. LHD, RHD, all colors, 11t and 9t drivers.

My skateboard. **** i haven't seen it in 2 weeks now. It's chilling in the back seat of my friend megan's car. I miss it so. All my skater friends are slowly getting into cars and dropped the skate in favor of bmx. Ratty bikes but i started on a peice of **** too.

Cool thread. Definately agree. I've been helping promote the British Drift Championships that I drive in and we're really targeting any type of extreme sports people as they seem to have the same mentality as most drifters. Half the people in the championships are ex skaters/bmx/surfers,etc.
I skateboarded for years and was sponsored, nothing special just a local shop, but appeared in a couple of magazines. I've surfed for 10-15yrs as well and really miss it just now. I've also done a bit of snowboarding over the years, oh and a bit of climbing

Oh ****! I remember when will taubin used to ride a compton.

Good luck finding a fit series 1. Try ebay maybe? Call danscomp or empire and see if they have any backstock. FTR, empire > danscomp but danscomp MAY have one.

You might want to see what's new on the market since you've been gone.
