Bosche 044 pumps? Also was that two thermostats? I never really researched the 20b but that's what it looks like.

yes 20b has 2 thermostats, i ditched it for an s4 cooling system though.
also bigger pump is an 044, smaller pump is a walboro 255. took the 255 out in favor of the 044

^Japan2LA has always had great motors and reasonable prices between me and my friends.

Pulling the block apart or running it as is? Did you get comp numbers with it?

running as is. dont remember compression numbers but was strong, all were even. checked seals and housings through exhaust ports, everything looks fine to me. plus this is a low power(relative to other 20b's) build, so it should last a good long while.

actual flange will be 1/2" stainless. the 16 ga. sheetmetal is just for test fit on motor.

Why am I just seeing this thread for the first time now? I need must glasses.

Wow, nice progress man! I've only just gotten my early block stacked and on the garage floor waiting for some better weather.

I've recently thought a lot about going NA like gmonson and t-von. Designing a nice long primary exhaust like Racing Beat's "streetport" exhaust for 79-85 so it will be quiet! Becasue it's too loud! But oh man my T72 (same model as yours) is talking to me (thanks by the way for recommending it). I also got a 46mm wastegate and some bosch white injectors just sitting here. Oh bastard in a basket. What to do?

That post is worth a thousand dollars to me. How do I pay in forum bucks?

But seriously, thank you!

I think I'll make a thread with pics and some info.
