dang it jason now i have to compete with you to get a t2 diff.

it could possibly be your calipers as someone said earlier. i know fd stock handbrakes suck but it won't help if his rear caliper pistons are not able to move as freely as they need to.

and you shouldn't weld your diff unless your car is track/drift only(and you have no sponsors) . is way to annoying/unsafe for street driving.

I personaly try not to use the ebrake. However my KVR pads(sold at corksport) and SS lines(also from corksport) on stock rotors have no problem locking my tires up. Granted I also run Falken 195-50-15s in the rear since I am NA and have found that size makes drifting fairly easy. Also have a unwelded stock GXL clutch type lsd.

might be a stupid question but you do have your clutch in when you pull the ebrake right?

Im working on a CNC hand brake install, after removing the old one I had.

Do you mean a one with its own resivour?

That would require another backing plate, and another set of calipers. Not necessarily the worst thing that you would have to do, but it does require some work.

If you mean, just the CNC hand brake, I modified the angled handle one, and Im going to be installing that about the time I get back from vacation. Right after I work out my wiring harness issues.

Im going to be running stainless braided line to the cnc brake, and then from there to the firewall where the rear brakes split. And there is a proportioning valve right before the hand brake. Made a bracket for them both, and it works rather nicely.

Wish I were at home with my computer, I could post pictures of how I mocked it up.
