Yes, you can but it's not going to give you any more angle. Well, maybe. I dunno. I haven't taken my car to the alignment shop to zero toe to see if there's anything more to be had. I'm running washers along with my rods. Not for more angle but for more toe adjustment since i was seriously toed in after putting these and megan ends on. I was running out of threads.

Pretty much, i didn't need to type that at all. I could just say "dont waste your time and get modded knucks if you want more angle."

I emailed dan or dave or some guy at pbm a while back asking about their diy knuck kits. You get their kit already shaped to weld straight on to your knuckles (call and request this prior to ordering the fc kit) for like $200 shipped. Somewhere in that ballpark. That's not alot of money for how much fun you could potentially get out of them.....you know?

Or you could try modding a set of lower ball joints like that slide alliance dood. (not calling the kettle black but post a video of that shiz working and quit being a stingy ****. Some of us care to learn alternative ways of doing stuff if it works).

I eyeballed toe on mine but here is the angle when i had toe in.......

Eye candy tie rod ends. No spacers. Megan ends.

Proof

I got a bit more out of them after i "corrected" my toe with spacers but didn't bother to pull the boot off or mark anything to make a comparison. It was a more or less "do this or the car will be fucked" type of thing. I also dont have any pics of how much (or little if you have knucks or anything of that sort) I have now compared to when this picture was taken.

For the u-turn factor alone, i love these things.

The Eyecandy tie rods have a longer distance between the inner threads and the bump stops on them so it's like having the spacer machined in.

Can you use the spacer? Sure, but it isn't going to give you more angle. It will just space your tie rods out.

Nope, no angle to be gained with the outer tie rods. Just better lateral movement with heims.

The Megan outers must be shorter to account for a spacer and stock tie rods. The Mazdatrix ones are.

Angle kit.

Bumpsteer kit.

So what are my options to gain more angle? And do you think wheel offset would affect it at all?

more angle=modded knuckles. offset will not affect anything but rubbing.

Why would you do such a thing? The Superangle tie rods give the same angle increase as the SuperNow or Mazdatrix kits. All you will be doing is wasting money and cutting your new tie rods for no reason.... Turbo II Rotor summed it up well!

As i was reading down this page, i thought the same thing. Makes perfect sense. What pisses me off is i paid $100 for my megans when i could have had perfect spacing using the mazdatrix bump steer kit.

No doubt this post alone will help people from making more work cut out for themselves....like i have. I fixed it but it was a bitch grinding and fitting washers to go on my rack to account for how short those bastards are. Megan states specifically these work to give more angle but leave out the part "with stock tie rods and aftermarket tie rod spacers......"

Damn good post and great job pointing it out. However its so obvious now that it shouldn't have to be. I guess some of us get a little excited when buying parts and forget to read the fine print.....
