if its na , Id keep it na rearend.. t2 rearend is heavy, which means more rotating mass. More rotating mass=less ease of wheel spin..

Hold a t2 diff and then hold a na diff. Na diff is waaay lighter.. For a na car, id keep the Na drivetrain.

Yeah I did sell my gt wing, looking for a bigger more awesome wingg har har

the best rearend for a n/a car is a gtu-s ring and pinion with a kaaz 2 way. I had desent luck with a shimmed s4 gxl diff if your on a budget. was close to a s4 t2 after it was shimmed.

Last time I was at E-town it was the opening event of the season, it was cold, raining and there were easter eggs on all the cones. lol. My day ended early. I entered mid third gear in my s13 doing about 70, feinted it super early and caught the cone near the clipping point. Busted my radiator. It was fun getting home that night. bleh.

I won't be doing any more drift events until I get my truck with a trailer. simply put your DD shoudl never also be your Drift car. Learned that from so many long nights in the garage changing diffs, clutches and on rare occasions engines and transmissions.

But, most of these guys have the basic concept pinned to the wall. Never lift, enter fast and learn to use the car's weight to carry the drift. Good luck.

Not like a rolling burnout but if i do a mellow feint in second, lift and get back on the throttle (i didn't touch the clutch pedal at all) it will side. It's really sensitive to throttle inputs while drifting. I have to "bump" my clutch as well as feather the throttle. Just braaaaap brap brap brap braaaaaap. Pedal to the floor will cause my car to spin where as before i HAD to floor it to keep drifting and do some clutch kicks. If i clutch kick pedal to the floor, i SPIN every time. I'm hoping the rear sway helps keep the *** a bit more planted. It may or may not work the way i want it to. I run about 65-70 psi in the rears and i think i'm going to go down to about 55-60 for a bit more grip to compensate for the -4ish degrees of camber i'm running. Well, atleast that's what droid says. 4.3R 4.1L I also have a welded diff. My ebrake sucks *** and is useless. Some nice hawk or ebc pads will be here eventually.

My setup is:

S4 NA. Stock tune. TB MOD/butterfly delete. Full emissions and omp block off. Cone filter.

Welded 3.90 diff with pinion snubber (i think that helps a bit)

Sublink. 10 year old jic coilovers with unknown spring rates.

Secret element tie rods with megan ends

Bride knock off fixed back

330 dish wheel

DTSS elims.

If you pretend your driving a gutless 3tc sr5 hachi, you can't go wrong really.....

I was running no sway bars at the time i was doing this ****. Haven't taken the car out in a couple months but hoping to in the next week or so. Then it's time for hockey puck motor mounts with through-bolts.

It gets down. It gets down hard and lays smoke. Hoping to get pics/footy soon also.
how do you like the bride knock off? I've been thinking of getting one

Drifting an na is not too difficult. In fact, I recommend starting that way. You'd learn alot more with less power, and especially when starting, it'd probably be easier. You actually have throttle response and it teaches you to use momentum and the weight of the car to learn how to control everything. Start small and work your way up, just like anything else. And before I'd do any drift events, I'd start at AutoX. It teaches you how your car reacts in extreme situations. Just my $0.02

meh its just like any other imo. all you have to do is floor it and clutch kick, makes its soo much easier and run tires to about 45-50 psi with reverse tread.

I absolutely love it.

Granted, it's not scca/fia approved or anything but it does it's job of holding me in place VERY well.

I"ve also done the "sturdy" test. Meaning i had my fat *** brother sit in the thing and TRY to break/crack it. nothing. So if it's good enough for him, my 140lbs should be fine in it. Give it a go. I dont think you'll be displeased.

Also, fellas.....

If you CAN get ahold of a 4.30 or 4.10 rear end and dont mind the higher cruising rpms effecting your mileage, get one. The 3.90 gets the job done but it feels like more of a fight to keep things going. I could actually SPEED UP while drifting with my TII gearing.

It's late, i'm tired, i'm aware i'm post-whoring. If i can't hang out after work, i'm usually on here browsing and/or trying to help.
