Dave's 1JZ FC Build thread

Noticed all the fancy build threads and thought I might aswell start up my own.

How she started off. 88 GXL with a fresher 90k mile 13b swapped in

Silk Road RMA8 Coilovers installed and lulz camber with ghei rims

Cue the rear camber link and some more fixins and this is how she was sitting a while ago.

GG for hood latch failure.

Well... Onwards to the important ****. Recently ended up trading for a motorswap that I'm slowly piecing together to go in the FC.

Planning on tearing into the car this winter and swapping over my TII rear end from a spare car in and getting to work on rust repair.

As for some goodies that I acquired along with the motor swap...

1jz? No ****...

Just recently acquired the w58 bellhousing, ACT Extreme clutch and a few more goodies. Just waiting on picking up a flywheel along with some freshening up bits for the motor.

Also managed to pick up this steal of a kit in Georgia.

Couple of days with a baby dremel, zipties and a screwdriver we have this.

GP Sports kit along with a Kaminari wing. Lacking paint, Because that ***** not important until I get the swap going. (Says the guy who just bought a Bodykit and wheels... Hey! **** was cheap!)

Same day I also picked up a pair of these in 18x9.75 +20

Picking up a clean set of 225/40/18's a few days later for 30$ from someone working at a Lexus dealership and managing to get them mounted we have how the car currently sits.

Car's still rolling around on the NA until I manage to get a few more parts together.

Planning in the next couple of weeks to start tearing out the 13b to put alongside my other Rotary goodies for a different project. Then its mount fabbing, wiring and all the other fun that comes with the swap.

My apologies for how hectic this thread is, Trying to jumble together **** thats been going on and I'm a bit sickl at the moment. Blah...

But hoping to get this updated asap and get more work going.

Also, Ignore the horribad fitment of the rear bumper. Still need to remove some bits of trim and do some more work before everything fits perfectly.

Only progress at the moment was moving everything to the garage until I find a hoist.

Auto trannies stuck on there since I cant easily access the torque converter bolts.

W58 to JZ Bellhousing on the stool, W58 with the bellhousing being removed to swap and the 1jz in the backround still attached to the autotragic.

As for the kit, It's a GP Sports kit I picked up off an older man in Georgia. Said he had the kit stored for a long time and never used it since he got rid of his FC.

Should post up more pics and info as the swap progresses so I'll def letcha know!

Aye, main issue is right now I cant easily access the bolts or fly. Lack of hoist ftw.

Thanks man! <3 your FD build.

Small mini-gay update.

Managed to acquire an aftermarket y-pipe for the lulzy price of 27 bucks. Waiting to order a few more needed bits and its go-time on fabwork and wiring.

Few ghei pics from a buddy back when the kit first went on. Wanted some pics before he moved back to Vegas.

Long story short, His neighbors driveway managed to rape the kit and break a few zipties.

Scootching into the buddies driveway after the neighbors incident.

Further proof I need to roll my rears and drop the car more.
