A classy FC3S drift build

so now that i have some free time and i am graduating soon which means real progress, i figured why not make a build thread.


Just gonna get everything caught up until now.

picked her up easter weekend of 2014, bone stock owned by an older lady with 93K on the dash

finished up the semester, and got right back into working. which meant time to start stockpiling parts:

eventually picked up tires, got them mounted and threw them on with two weeks to spare before summer was over!!
Resulted in this, i was not very satisfied with the fitment but i had very little cash or free time to do anything about that

Picked up a rocket bunny V2 splitter which i planned to eventually tie into some canards, but unfortunately a chunk of ice fell off a truck on my way to school, hit the splitter and exploded most of it. el oh el

Threw on 15MM PBM spacers on the front and knew i wanted/needed more camber

got everything back together, took the car for a test drive and decided i needed to clearance the frame rails in the front and slightly pull the rear

finished the driver side, lowered car torqued 4 lugs, hit the fifth and bam!
split the PBM key

I was going to slot my pbm pros as well, but I work next to a machine shope and actually taking the perch's over to them to put another set of mounting hols in it to get the strut to move directly horizontal instead. The goofy coils do: / - \ | - | and \ - /. I wan -- - --. Seems like it should work.

Depending how much you notched that upper hole you may want to consider tack welding a washer on the outside of hole to keep your adjustment from bumping out of place (It WILL happen)

^this is true, my PBM's kept adjusting themselves in the slot that they come with, I ended up using lock washers and tons of red thread lock and a huge impact to keep them from moving

Clean car. This is the drifting section so, what are your plans for the engine? Love to see clean *** FCs. They are rare now days.

so i have been busy, moved to michigan in june and didnt drive my car up here until august, but she made the 11 hour drive flawlessly.

the plan right now is to obtain a CD009 (z33) transmission and run the collins adapter plate and clutch setup. also my complete s5 drivetrain minus the engine harness will be for sale in a few weeks if any one local wants dibs.

Do all PBM coilovers have camber plates like that? Set for caster and camber adjustment?
