A classy FC3S drift build
so now that i have some free time and i am graduating soon which means real progress, i figured why not make a build thread.
Just gonna get everything caught up until now.
check instagram for more updates!! @dan_doee
picked her up easter weekend of 2014, bone stock owned by an older lady with 93K on the dash
After a proper detail
[/URL]
finished up the semester, and got right back into working. which meant time to start stockpiling parts:
installed everything over one weekend and got her on the ground
then it was time to save for some wheels, which eventually led to this
eventually picked up tires, got them mounted and threw them on with two weeks to spare before summer was over!!
Resulted in this, i was not very satisfied with the fitment but i had very little cash or free time to do anything about that
Also made this diffuser and mounted it on the car, this was version #2
car stayed that way until winter break, where i daily drive it the whole winter, and also i bought a real camera!!!
Over winter break i saved up some cash and made these skirt extensions
Used my tax return to pick up some goodies which included G35 rear spats, spacers, a fender roller
Just gonna get everything caught up until now.

Picked up a rocket bunny V2 splitter which i planned to eventually tie into some canards, but unfortunately a chunk of ice fell off a truck on my way to school, hit the splitter and exploded most of it. el oh el
one of 5 pics i took before it became shrapnal
Threw on 15MM PBM spacers on the front and knew i wanted/needed more camber
worked on the car all easter weekend(2015):
slotted upper hole for more camber
removed rear lower locking ring and threw on 5MM's
got everything back together, took the car for a test drive and decided i needed to clearance the frame rails in the front and slightly pull the rear
finished the driver side, lowered car torqued 4 lugs, hit the fifth and bam!
split the PBM key
Called PBM on monday, and thanks to their great customer service, there is a new one on the way.
this is how she currently sits!!
and this is the 3rd time i redid the diffuser, trimmed 1.5 inches
and a random interior shot lol

I was going to slot my pbm pros as well, but I work next to a machine shope and actually taking the perch's over to them to put another set of mounting hols in it to get the strut to move directly horizontal instead. The goofy coils do: / - \ | - | and \ - /. I wan -- - --. Seems like it should work.
Depending how much you notched that upper hole you may want to consider tack welding a washer on the outside of hole to keep your adjustment from bumping out of place (It WILL happen)

^this is true, my PBM's kept adjusting themselves in the slot that they come with, I ended up using lock washers and tons of red thread lock and a huge impact to keep them from moving

thank you sir!
work xd9, 18x9 -2 ,18x10 +18
funny you should ask...
so i have been busy, moved to michigan in june and didnt drive my car up here until august, but she made the 11 hour drive flawlessly.
went to car & drivers cars and coffee
picked up a BN sports replica kit, which i will be adding some custom touches too soon. test fit
and finally this showed up and the teardown shall begin in a few weeks. im going to try to daily her as much as possible in the meantime
the plan right now is to obtain a CD009 (z33) transmission and run the collins adapter plate and clutch setup. also my complete s5 drivetrain minus the engine harness will be for sale in a few weeks if any one local wants dibs.

got the engine pulled out at the end of november
found a great deal on a CD009 from an 07 G35. comparo to the 13B NA trans
Checking if it is possible.. seems legit
youll need a rear sump JZ pan also. scored this on the 2JZ facebook group
upper pan sealed up
pulled the dash
getting ready for the first test fit. engine stripped of twin turbo setup and block cleaned and painted
removed the old trans mounts which is the only way that chubby transmission will fit
$5 harbor freight spot weld drill but FTW
excessive manufacturing mounts which are very high quality
mount fitment, other side very similar.

first test fit of engine only, notice how far forward it sat in the beginning
plenty of oil pan clearance
picked up some aero too and got started on some canards
Collins adapter plate bolted up
and the adapter flywheel which will be mated to an ACT HD 6 puck
Engine/trans all mated for the first time
And then sliding in the FCs DMs
first fit was pretty promising but obvi it needs to fit as far back as possible so no one can cry about ruining my weight distribution
