Bridgeported

Is bridge porting a good set up for a drifting Rx-7?

i would stick with a good street port. if you need to ask then there is no real need to bridgeport.

Stick with a Street Port.

Plenty of air, and greater dependability.

If u need more power "there is no replacement for displacement."

Yes that is true. but I love the Rotary to much to throw any old piston engine in. Maybe a 20b? HAHA

Less Torque, power band is a bit too high.
Correct me if I am wrong.

I would imagine very little torq... Im not sure, but I heard the powerband is at 5k rpm and above.. You want more torq for drifting. Street port is the way to go

i went from a stock TII port to a bridgeport w/ a HKS T04R and I dont want to go back

if youre drifting under 4.5k, youre doing it wrong anyway

Kids seem to forget the importance of the exhaust port profile.

I'm not sure but did we start talking about n/a bridge or turbo the whole time?

bridge ports are for racing. you don't really need it for drifting imo. Are you trying to run in competitions like formula d or d1gp? if its for comp, I would just go t2 with intake/exhaust/EMS to get you started and then upgrade the turbo at some point. when the motor blows, replace broken parts, rebuild and street port it at the same time.

I agree with this.

Shift down or clutch kick that bitch.

High revs and making use of your limiter if you have one make for awesome.

Okay I'm going to tell you guys what I tell people when they call pineapple. Pport or add a rotor. We only use bridgeported motors for a class of racing that requires no mods to the rotor housings and a limit on what displacement.
So we only bridge when we have too. And it's not cheap. We charge quite a bit cause it requires alot of labor. Pport could expect mabe 330 crank hp. But mabe 280hp bridge, and that's if it's done right.
Racing beats pport housings are very nice and priced very fair.
Basicly pport=win
