Had a professional wetsand and detail my FD this weekend
89FC619... Huh? Forgive me, but what are you saying? That Rich's car or wax job is "ugh"? Not very nice from a new forum member, it would seem to me?
By the way, I think your insult was meant to be "cleanup on AISLE 1" or were you thinking of "isle" as in island? I know we have a lot of challenged spellers here on the forum.

Guys, as the weather gets warmer Bobby is available to detail/wetsand your RX-7, just PM me for his contact info
Car looks EXCELLENT -- really a nice shine.
I am wondering, does wetsanding a car not remove the clearcoat on top of the paint? Is the process so light that it doesnt sand through the clearcoat entirely? Really looks great, I will look into this for my VR with original paint.

Bobby is moving out to one of the boroughs of NYC soon, so I took the opportunity to have him work his magic on my FC vert today
This was a basic detail, no wetsanding required. He spent about 6 hours on the car, he doesn't rush and his attention to detail is phenomenal
The stud in the red shirt is my brother (an SSM FD owner)..... he's an accomplished hand model if anyone ever needs one

A couple more shots. This guy works magic, those local people who slept on this opportunity will be kicking themselves.... the black paint looks amazing in person, like a mirror
P.S. At a minimum I'm looking into spacers for the rears, and possibly new wheels my vert. It's so underpowered I'm not looking to add rolling weight, which is a problem b/c the OEM BBS are 11 pounds each.

Both of the cars look absolutely incredible! After seeing the pics of your FD I have a new found respect for their design.
I would love to learn how to do this stuff, I wanna make a living doing it.

RE: wheels - might I suggest a set of FD wheels. Cheap, lightweight (13lbs), bigger wider rubber for cornering grip ( ;-) ), and IMHO look pretty good on an FC with spacers. I used 25mm on my old "Rusty" and lowered appropriately...was lookin' mean for a car with 146 HP at the crank. w00t!
FWIW,
Crispy
