Hey guys not sure if I introduced myself. My names Peter (S14.3bre) the other owner of Defined Autoworks. I figured I would show you guys my car and what its all about. I took out my SR20DET and put in a rotary. Its pretty well finished up now, we finally finished the full cage, got all the ducting and interior worked out. And also have over 3000 miles on it. Current power is 457rwhp and 350rwtq. At 19psi with a GT35R on 93 octane.

List of mods:

Drive train:
FD tranny, ACT 4puck, Kaaz 2way lsd, custom driveshaft...........

finally got things sorted out..

460rwhp at 20psi still with conservative timing... don't think i'll actually need that much power, but it's nice to know it's there..

i ran under 1bar this weekend at asb and it felt animal..

thanks again man! i'll get ahold of you guys this week about the irons... finally have some time to do stuff other than fix the car..

It's so nice seeing my favorite piston car with a nice wankel under the hood. Absolutely wicked. Looks so nice. Would you happen to have more pics of the rest of the car? Maybe some hi-res ones? That would be sweet.

I've always wanted to see a Lotus Exige with a Renesis.

That would be ridiculous. Those things weigh like, what, 1700lbs? The Atom would be a pretty sweet platform for a Renesis swap, too.

I think the Renesis has a lot of potential. Mazda should drop the Renesis into the MX-5 at the factory and market it as a MazdaSpeed Miata (MX-5). Either that or throw in the current turbo/intercooled engine from the MazdaSpeed 3.

I remember hearing somewhere that the japanese MX-5s come in a mazdaspeed version with a turbo motor. I'm not sure how true that is tho. Giving the MX-5 some more power would definitely be a smart move on Mazda's part. So would putting more money into R&D with the RENESIS. IT has potential but they're trying to hard to be environmentally friendly IMO.

PS: Sorry about the threadjack.

Thanks. I don't have any pictures yet besides what you see. I'll take pictures once I get my cage in.
