I was looking at planning a trip out there some time in the next month or so and i was wondering where the best place to stay is closeness/price/quality...

_i was looking at the Tapoco Lodge and it seems lake a pretty good deal.

 

Tapoco is good but so is the Fontana Village. You could stay at the Fontana Inn for about $65 per night and they use to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus the rooms are real nice. Then there is always the option of stay at the Motorcycle Hotel at the gas station at the top. Not the best quality but it depends on what you're there for...the stay or the ride. I've stayed at both but of course I was in the FD at Fontana and the Ducati at the Motorcycle Resort. Stayed at Tapoco once, very nice as well.
