I'm leaving from Pensacola on Wednesday April 9th , and driving to Birmingham for the night , to meet up and caravan with the New Orleans group , and the Birmingham / Huntsville groups ... some of us are going to the Gap a day early to help Phil with the setup ... I-65 North is our route , N.O. guys will probably use I-10 , and merge onto I-65

I know, you tried to delete all the threads here, that is why one of the admins took away your mod status Phil. I am assuming it was so you would just drive more traffic over, or that you wanted just to be an ******* and deprive other members of rotary community info like Kevin did... but if it was just because you are too lazy/busy to update here, I am sure someone else can do it. Whoever is pretending to be Rob seems to be doing a few for you with the shirts and car show stuff.

Cool, I did see 23 people (including myself) over there the other day. You know if it was a regional board, you could probably get away with posting links to it...(see, I am letting you in on a loop hole- regional boards are not competition).

Ah I don't get charged here, because I am not a dealer selling multiple items of the same thing. And I don't get selling threads deleted because I don't forget to actually put in what I am selling, and for how much, and where it is... and when I have been a dealer in the past (like last fall- after IB took over) I paid my measly $75 a month a got full vendor status, advertised product in my signature, and even had group buys here. For selling multiple items, I find that the $75 a month is well worth it for the traffic this site gets- I didn't get the same kind of traffic or visibility on NP or any of the other boards even if it was free there.

 

But since IB has taken over that's all change, price that is?

That is what I last paid this board when I was still advertising and a vendor- and that was after IB took over. Same price before IB took over. Heck they didn't even know I was a moderator here.

Excuse the hell out of me for not wanting to be bitch slapped by the very forum that I have tried to help for years. The information was not removed from the community, it was just relocated to a different server. Information that was on my website is still there. I simply refuse to continue to add searchable technical content to this forum while being treated as I am. When the treatment changes, so may my attitude.

I wonder if your own view might change if suddenly you were no longer allowed to do the things you have been doing for years here, the policies changed up, and the admininstration told you they could give a rat's *** about your opinions, it just is how it is, like it or lump it, it's a big wide internet so GTFO if you don't.

All I can say is, if I have no moderator control over my own event here and hence, I have no reason to spend my time here??

Trust me, my so called, "Hobby Board" will be plenty to provide info for the rotary community.. And also entertaining and enough Veteran Rotary owners and Vendors to keep the "Hobby" going. So, again, Shut this sub forum down!!! I know you guys LOVE to close down and remove post so I know I'm not asking something new

and yep... you are the one with the problem. You either help people or you hurt them because of what some corp entity you seem to think has done something personally to you. Herb/Phil here obviously wants to hurt members of the Rotary community. You have been acting like you want to hurt members of the Rotary community for the last couple of months.

Kevin, for all we have shared in the past, and my respect for you, please please please get over it. I am sure you are hurting your own business because of it.

Sorry, you are laboring under a couple of misconceptions. First, nobody likes shutting down a thread. It only happens when there is flaming or other issues that can hurt the members or the board. If you make a thread to make trouble it will be shut down.

But if you make posts in threads to help and be a positive influence on the community... well that is encouraged and never shut down.

So here it is, you are asking for positive helpful and informational threads for the rotary community at large... to be shut down. I guess it is pretty clear why you lost your mod status. Next thing, I bet you'll be deleting the link to DGRR in your signature so that members here can't find it. Kinda sad.

Cause it has turned into a whole other subject, from the original, "caravans".

Even the concept of this thread isn't very good, I don't think there should be a (it seems "general") caravan thread.
Caravan threads are for certain states. It would be easer for the members to get the info they need in those states to go to a thread thats titled to there state and/or whatever state thats on there way to dgrr.
Instead of looking in one general thread.
