TN Nantahala Village Full

I called today to make reservations and was told they are booked. I wasn't sure if I could attend until today. They did suggest the Microtel down the street that has agreed to a discounted rate. Is anyone else staying off site? If so where?

They connected me to Watershed. Another Cabin type place about 15 minutes down the road.

They didn't however tell me they were full, so I haven't a clue what the case is.

I did PM Phil about it, and he's sent an inquiry to them about it. Hopefully something official will be posted soon.

888-604-3075 Ask for Susan. She was very helpful, and they have a site Watershed Cabins.

I'll be at the Microtel. Several of us from the Murfreesboro area are driving up Thursday afternoon, and yes, several FL guys are staying at the same Microtel.

Great. It looks like I will be going alone, my buddy had to drop out due to a schedule conflict and my wife said hell no. If its ok I will tag along with yall. Are you planning a caravan from Nashville? If so give me some times and I will try to make it from Memphis.

One group is leaving the Murfreesboro area at 400~500pm on Thursday, and the other group is leaving about 600pm on Thursday.

Well from my talk with my fellow travelers, due to recent news they don't really want to drive 19hrs each way to not do what we came to do.

So I will be contacting NVNC to see what I can do if anyone is interested in getting a cabin at the last minute mine is #220 which has been reserved for Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

No matter I will be in PA in August but I am majorly bummed for this one

NO!! You guys still need to come. Trust me you will not be disappointed even if the Dragon is not open by then. There are now over 250 people registered with over 130 or cars so there is nothing this large on the east coast. It's much much more than the Dragon you will miss by not attending.

Trust me on this and attend, you will not be disappointed.

yeah i agree with david. my reasoning for going was more the cars than the dragon. yeah it would have been cool to drive the dragon but when else are you ging to see more that 130 rotary cars/trucks in one place. we have a local event here in miami where 50 or so rotary cars show up once a year and it is really alot of fun....i can only imagine waht over 130 cars is like!!!!

I know the feeling, it's a long *** drive from Canada to not be able to drive the dragon. Also my Rx-4 has no hope in hell of being ready for this year. I've been looking forward to this trip so much though, that I think I'll still go. I can always go again next year when hopefully the dragon will be open and my Rx-4 will be ready.
