The Everyone Home Safe Thread
We had an awesome drive to Road Atlanta to the Mitty. The caravan was over 20 cars and drove straight there, keeping in line most of the time and all rolled in together and immediately lined up for the Parade Lap.
I made it home at 9:30pm Sunday, after having dinner with Savanna Dan & Fey, Dave Meditz, Billy, Neal Swigert, Allan Rodgers & Kristy. Dan & Fey left Atlanta this morning to go back to FL, and Dave Meditz & others left sometime today to head back to TX, CA, MI.

^^Yup, Garrett, myself, his buddy mark, TitaniumTT, and a few others helped get Jeremy back on the road on a late night repair mission. Funny thing was that I was hard-pressed to keep up with J in the Ford Fusion support vehicle even though it was only running on the primary injs
Yeah Jeremy even had it bad once we made it to Atlanta on the way to dinner his throwout bearing started giving him issues and he couldnt shift gears, had to leave it in a parking lot before going to eat dinner, but after dinner he was able to get her going again and he did make it home...............time for a new clutch and fuel system upgrade
Made it home without any major issues!
That was a hell of a trip, I'm definitely planning on coming next year already. Think I enjoyed it a fair bit more than Seven Stock, frankly.

Yep, the semi put his left blinker on. Thought that meant "May I come over?" but apparently it meant "Get the fu## out of the way". So, tested out the big brake kit on my way to the left highway shoulder. It's all good though.
True, Sevenstock is a "non-driving" event, but in all honesty, much like Deals Gap, the best part of the experience is the trip "to" and "from" the event. Two totally different events and hard to compare (IMO). Quite frankly, I'm ecstatic that we have both to enjoy. I look forward to hanging with Rich, Gordon, and others from the East Coast this Fall in Irvine and hope to make the journey out East in the future for DGRR!
I hope you called him in. We had similar things happen to our group on the way home.

Hi Hugh...I mean Gordon!
It was a sincere pleasure meeting you as well. As you have one of the more distinctive 7's in the US, I thought it would be a bit unfair to monopolize you for 5 days straight with business chat and figured it would be fair to let you share your car and experience with everyone else. =)
I know we will get together in the future once we all recover! Happy to hear you made it home safely!

Thanks Gordon. Hey, by chance do you have a pic of your car loaded up on Dave Baringer's car hauler? I take it that it's a 2 to 3 car trailer behind a diesel pickup?? Might be a good option for some of us West Coast guys looking to attend future "Gap" events.
In fact, it was great meeting so many of you vs just communicating via the net. Nice to have faces and names with screen names.
Meeting everyone was just as much fun as driving the roads. Always good to see the strength of the rotary community alive and well. These meets are so much more than the driving and show...the real draw is getting together to do these things.
Kudos to everyone who made it happen and continue to keep it alive year after year. Hopefully I can find a way up to the Carlisi meet. I might have to fly and rent a car for that one....

)? Did he make it back alright on primaries?
