Ya, my name tag was on my crotch zipper. . . . I had the worlds worst headache, and had troubles attaching it to my jacket, so i just clipped it to my pants zipper via muscle memory. . . It wasn't until about noon that my headache subsided, and i regained motor skills.

Next year, we'll definitely have to hook up, if not for a beer, at least for a burger or something. We ended up grilling ribeye's, new york strips, chicken breasts, hot dogs and countless other things at the village. So much food, that all the people in the cabin ate well, and we still had excess. Next year i'm going to prep better and bring steaks as well to add in for the awesome eating that went on this year.

I met a lot of people this year that I didn't at previous DGRR's or Sevenstock's. . . . everyone is wicked cool, and am glad to know the ones i've met (dunno if others feel the same way about me. . . . . . . ), but just flat out ran out of time and didn't meet everyone. Everyone that I met is very down to earth (with a few being just about as odd as me at times)

Yea, I got in to Nantahala Village at 3am friday night/sat morning. . . went to bed at about 4am, woke up at 5am, 6am, 7am, 8am. . . . got no sleep all weekend, but it was all worth it. Many awesome memories!

yeah this event exceed all of my expectations. everyone was super cool. great to meet everyone and like many others have said before me, put a face with a name. my brain was on over-load trying to remember everyone's real name, screen names and avatars!!! of course with the exception of some of us that were smart enough to make our screen names the same as our real names (not me of course), thanks dale. anyways, i will be back next year and won't miss it ever again.

Damn!! I feel like I missed out on my own event... I was so out of it at all because I came in at 4AM saturday morning (also only slept for 3 hours day before), slept for 2 hours, and left at midnight.. I talked to very few people and those I talked to, I can't even remember who they were

rdahm, I'm sorry I forgot to introduce you at the award banquet.. I think I forgot to introduce 2-3 other vendors... Sorry!

Nice Video!

Also, tonight at 10 CST, we'll be broadcasting some videos ZGN took on RCC video site. ZGN was using the new Go Pro HD cam mounted high on his FD... following David Hayes' 20B. I saw a glimpse of it and looked great! Also, ZGN is selling those camera cheaper than Go Pro at DGRRX group buy. I bought one after seeing the video.

http://rotarycarclub.com/index.php/?pageid=Live_video

So, if you want to check that out, meet us at 10PM CST.. there is a chat box so you could actually talk to other people watching... its pretty entertaining as we did this at 7stock.

Garret's car sounds good in the video but the part w/ the trooper is not there where was he? waiting or driving? I had just went through and saw the black FD w/stripes and also kentsu's red FB on my trip and I am curious how we sqeezed though the troopers unseen because I know 1 of them was at the other end when I arrived there and you found the other one.

I am not going to admit how fast we were going. We were blipping the throttle in short spurts due to traffic. It just so happens it was at the wrong time.

Hmm, my computer must be running slow today, because that sure looks slow to me!

Definitely a great time. This was my 2nd year attending, and I will certainly be back again.

A highly recommended event

I saw one trooper as I came ripping around a corner, he was just parked on the side of the road. I hit the brakes and rolled on by him, then he hit me with the radar which was good for a laugh. The next one was also sitting in a tight section, so I got the impression they weren't really looking for speeders.

But on the way back out, one had moved to the end of one of the straights, definitely looking to nail someone for speeding.

The attitude of the cops seemed to be a bit more aggressive this time around. Last year it seemed like as long as you were in your lane and under control, it didn't really matter how fast you were going.

I'm just glad that they seemed to have a taste for the high dollar cars, and left us poor fb owners alone.
