DGRR 2007 Caravan...

Please post here if there's going to be a caravan..

As of now, I'm guessing following cities will have most drivers going to DGRR.

1. Birmingham, AL
2. Nashville, TN
3. Columbus, OH
4. Atlanta, GA
5. Raleigh, NC

I think these cities should have some sort of caravan plans... Please post here if you do.

For Bham:

We will meet Friday April 20th, 2007 @ Trussville Mazda, 7:45AM - Depart 8AM Sharp!.

We'll meet TN guys and have lunch in Chattanooga around 12PM some restaurant. Leave Chattanooga around 1-1:30PM.

Everyone could either meet up @ Fontana or at the water front area and made runs thru the gap then to Fontana by 5PM.

I'm pretty sure the 3 car from Columbus are heading down together. The more, the better.

Atlanta may have 2 groups from the I-85 side and from the I-75 side.

I will be leaving from the I-85 side of Atlanta on Friday, April 20th. In the past we have met at Jeffery's Sports Bar, off of I-85N at Exit 111. I'm thinking the time we leave may be between 1 and 2PM.

Any recommendations??

The reason we went to Golden Coral is because they had huge selections and it was a buffet... If we goto some sit down restaurant, it'll take us at least an hour to get the food, the check, etc etc.. Buffet, you pay, you eat, you're out in 20-30 mins..

I really dont want to wait around for an hour for food... Either Golden Coral, some chinese buffet, or some other quick burger joint. Let me know what you guys perfer..

I vote no on burger joint unless it is something good or decent. No Mcdonalds/BK/Hardees etc.

I think most of us Raleigh peeps are heading that way Wednesday or Thursday so we can have our bonding time PRIOR to DGRR's events. Plus we want to run the Dragon as much as possible.

We meet at the Jeffrey's in Suwannee, because that is the furtherest point north on I-85 before we split onto I-985 to go up through Gainesville then onto U.S.129 all the way up to Deals Gap.

If anyone wants to go up I-75 and on up to Deals Gap from there, someone else will have to arrange that, since I have never been up that way, and I live right off of I-85.

The only thing that immediately comes to mind is Cici's pizza. It's cheap and fast.

What?... you thought that I thought this through?
