Cincinnati/Louisville/Lexington Caravan
Cincinnati/Louisville/Lexington Caravan
Came over from the RX8club to try and rally some interest here.
A couple of us figured quite a few people will be traveling through Cincinnati, Lexington and Louisville heading down to DGRR. Since it's still early, times and locations aren't set in stone, but here's the plan:
Friday April 29th
71 and 75 south travelers:
Meet in Cincinnati at 9:30AM. Plan to head out at 10:30AM. Location Fuel Coffe. (I will post maps once all locations are set.)
64 and 65 Travelers:
Meet in Louisville at 9:30AM. Plan to head out a 10:30AM. Location TBD.
Both groups will meet in Lexington around noon and plan to leave for the gap by 1:00PM.
I will keep this thread updated to match the RX8club thread and vice versa.
Let me know if you're interested meeting up with us.

Glad you guys are interested! Gonna try to get all the meet points set this week. I'll edit my original post with the info.
Counting the replies here, it looks like we'll have at least 10 or so cars by the time both groups meet up in Lexington.
Not too bad and we have a lot of time before the event.

I can meet up either thursday or friday. I hope the itinerary comes out soon, because it would certainly make it easier to plan. i think I read somewhere that last year there was a photoshoot on friday, which I would really like to make.
are engine conversions allowed at this? a few friends here are trying to talk me into going but the only rx7 i currently have has a diesel in it- if i can i am just off uc campus and would love to join a cinci caravan
12a, you already know how i feel about the turbo diesel.
Some changes to the caravan plan. My buddy heading up the Louisville end and I have decided to move all the meet times up an hour so we can get to the dragon a bit earlier. Hopefully we'll be able to catch a photoshoot if it happens.

The Louisville meet location should be settled soon.
We're still trying to figure out a location to meet near Lexington. Right now we're thinking the Winchester Rd. Exit off of 75 which is one exit south of the 64/75 split. Anyone in the area have any suggestions?

By all means you can come with a car with a engine conversion, Some people show up with Skylines, 240sx with Sr20det swaps, FC`s and Fd`s with LS1`s, So come on down and enjoy. This year is going to be the largest yet. Parking will suck though.
God I wish me and my FD could join you guys but im in afghanistan til June
Im doing this deployment for my FD though
Cant wait to dump all this hard earned money in her. Maybe next year!

Hey guy's the Louisville side of things here, thought I had a location worked out, but they pulled on me, another place closed, If all else fails there is a rest area that I have in mind as well as a park, but it is a bit off the highway. Anyone from the area have any suggestions?
My car is finally running and seems to be 100 percent.
I'm at the end of the mountain parkway in eastern Kentucky.
Somebody said something about meeting the caravan in London; I could do that as well.
