Anyone going to the Gap again?

Well I missed the fun for the second year. My car is currently under the knife but I am definately going to make the trip down from NJ during this summer. I was just wondering if anyone is planning on going again before next year.

Memorial Day Weekend

Since my FD broke (probably coolant seal) and the wife and I felt defeated, we are going back to Deal's Gap over the Memorial Day weekend. This time we will be drive our Evo since the wankel died on us. Anyone and EVERYONE is welcome to join. Please come. The more the merrier.

I am all of 30 minutes from the gap, so just let me know when anyone is planning on making the trip and I will try to be there.

I would love to go back but they banned me from coming there again. Seems when I left Sunday they were missing a curve and blamed it on me.... So now there's only 317 turns left.

Man I would so go back for another weekend in an instant if I could squeeze it in between work and other stuff going on right now. I'd even be into a drive up after work on a Saturday evening so I could play on it all day Sunday.

I'll be back up there this month as soon as I get some more money together. When I get my "new" FB registered I'm planning on taking it for a (much slower) test run, too. I'll probably be in the TII next time though.

Man we thought about doing that Saturday night but we were just to tired to drive back out there after dinner and had begun with the festivities. I would love to see what it is like at night though. In fact I would love to see some pics and vids of some night time runs!!!

Its hard to see coming out of turns, especially left-handers because the pillar gets in the way too.

I may try and set my headlights all crazy to improve my vision of the road next time.

I used to have video of a night run but I dont know what I did with it. It was pretty much pitch blackness with some tail lights here and there. The 8s headlights are great at night. Very nice coverage of the road but still pretty dark around those really sharp turns. I missed my chance at a night run at DGRR... got to make sure to do multiple in september to make up for it

BTW, I can't wait to go back again. It was worth every penny of brake dust and rubber while I was there!

I might just have to come cruise with you again... you think a stock S4 TII can stay with an EVO VIII?
