amazingly enough my rear Yokos (nearly brand new) got worn down to the indicator bar in 1 trip, lol. Time for new tires.

Pads

I went through a set of front pads, mostly not from Deals Gap. I drove almost 1100 miles Thurs thru Sat., and there were some amazing roads in a 200 mile radius of Bryson City. These switchbacks really did it. In a hurry to make my son's race Saturday morning, I'd never been to Green River Cove. But I'll go back.

1st gear full lock switchbacks, the kind of roads old school sports cars were built to drive on.

Mine survived the dragon just fine, even tire wear on my soft tires told me I had the camber set just right and the new brakes performed perfectly, good bite and balance, It was the deer on the way home that got the best of me.

Not nearly as bad as it could be, Right headlight bucket and lid, nose piece, bumper, hood and it tweaked the radiator support, it'll be back up to speed within a few weeks, gives me a chance to fix some deficiencies that have been bugging for a while.

Bambi died however.

ok...didn't mean for the smiley face, typo edit turned into that.

Sorry for the bad luck my friend. Way to put positive spin on it by seeing it as opportunity to work on other things.

My car came through with a few more rock chips on the front, one missing wheel center cap, a flat tire that got fixed in Bryson City on Saturday, and a speedin' ticket . Haven't looked at the tires after this run, I imagine they've got a little less rubber now.

But, that's OK. If you use something, you may break it. If so, you fix it. If you want pristine, put it under glass, but if you want to really ENJOY it, drive it!

Drove my car to work this morning. Even with my dowel pin oil leak I didn't need to top off the oil. Coolant leaks seem to be a thing of the past. Pretty happy over-all. My car doesn't like to commute, it feels 110% when it's at 8 and 9/10th's.

Rear tires got dirty from the rain on Friday. That was the worst.

I didn't have any issues other than my P/S pump beginning to make noise. Found it was low on fluid, topped her up and she was good again. I need to raise the front up some as the tires and fenders would kiss under hard cornering.

Hey Robert, Sorry to hear about the deer incident. When its ready, you should come up to Bham for Cars and Coffee. I would love to hang out with you without me running around.

I on the other hand just bunch of chips.. My new painted hood got chipped.. just as 7 years ago when I got my scoot hood painted and chipped..

Talking

My FD made it with zero problems, was quite an eye opener going through the Dragon with the sequential twins and non-insano brakes. With the Ohlins I was able to just keep up speed and fly through the corners

Big Tree,

you have joined the Exclusive and Elusive Brotherhood of the Missing Center Cap.... one of my Fikse caps escaped from me at the very tail end of our trip into NVNC, I'm talkin' like last few miles.

What happened? Either low oil pressure or low oil level. Bad luck, but completely preventable. You weren't the only one either, someone else blew an oil cooler line and killed a pricey engine

I had a boost leak- ic pipe to y pipe popped off then erik (tem120) gave me an extra t bolt clamp and fixed it. I managed to crack my front bumper I spent 2 days repairing as well. Funny thing was I cracked it at the cabin n not even on the dragon lmfao

low oil pressure . my oil pressure would sometimes go low I thought it was the oil pressure sensor going bad . because I was good on oil * and I had just checked my fluids before it went to * But after reading about spun bearings I think I know exactly what happened..

when i first got my engine it had a big oilpan gasket leak , I took it apart and attacked it with RTV sealant I'm guessing some of the rtv got loose and clogged something in the oil system .. 100% my fault . car ran great apart from that . i finally made it home today infact had to rent a car
