I'm already registered, can't wait! Now I just need to decide if I'm going to stay at the Microtel or somewhere else, and decide on which rotary to bring.... FC or FD this year?

Congrats on the new FD, but bring 'ole blue, guaranteed show winner for the old school rotaries!

Thanks Brother! It needs a few things. It sat since 2011 but it is a low mileage 1 owner car. If I can get all the little things done, I just might bring it instead of "ol blue"....
If not, Blue is ready to go!

She is pretty decent.... Paint is pretty bad on the top side and the seats need a re cover. Other than that, she runs great for a bone stock FD.

DIY seat recovery is pretty easy, did it on my FC and am about to do it on my FD. And if you're doing black leather, you have several choices in vendors for the new leather skins. For my FD, I'm going to restore the original tan leather, but there are only 1 or 2 vendors out there that have a good match to the OEM tan, in terms of color & texture. Ended up ordering from Ari at rx7.com, but have been waiting over a month now. Fortunately, Ari doesn't charge your credit card until they ship, so zero complaints - I knew going in it might be a long wait.

Paint/bodywork can get spendy, but she looks pretty clean, so you can probably get by with the minimum of prep work before they shoot new paint.

It looks like I am going to make it this year, at this point my fb will most likely not be roadworthy so it looks like we will take my dads gslse. Is there anything else I should know as a first timer? We will also most likely be trailering it down as it is a 5 1/2 hr drive for us. Is there room in the Microtel for a 20' enclosed trailer and a crew cab longbed ford? Thanks for the help, I am excited to finally make it out!

Glad you can make it out finally! Look me up, You can't miss 'Ol Blue'.
As for your question about your trailer. I would say no room at the microtel. The parking lot is a little tight there. You may want to reach out to Phil or some of the staff about parking at the Sleep Inn. It is not that far away from Microtel.

Registered... hopefully, third time's a charm. After registering twice, one deployment and a parent passing away denied me twice the last couple of decades. Hopefully "Murphy" (and my wrenching grit) give me a break.

Now if I can also make SevenStock this year, I'll check off a bucket list goal.

Right on, right on! Thanks for keeping me in mind for the lead.

Figured I'd start a Lone Star convoy effort as we got closer since the "failure rate" for these events can be high... ask me how I know. Anyways, I foresee two convoys, the solo/ronin RX's and the laggard (and chicken ****) tow vehicles. I'll be a caboose in the latter.

I'll start a thread in the South section of the Forum and post at least once here for a redirect to it. Thanks again!

Not sure if they are on the forum, but they are around on the Facebook groups and some other rof the social media stuff. Let's call it, the RX7Club extended universes.

They are def a cool couple. A few years ago, he had a rec 13B Cosmo that he brought to DGRR. He ended up selling it at the event. It also turned out they spent time in Okinawa with the previous owner of my JC. Was good talking with them.
