Bad day at Black Rock.
My FD has been utterly reliable up until the last week in April when the coil pack expired, I ordered an IR Performance coil pack but Paul has a huge back log of orders and I don't think that I will get the parts (along with competition fuel system) in time to make it run for this event.
My son is flying in from San Diego to drive up with me and worse case we will drive the Focus.
Looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing everybody's rides, it should be fun no matter what.
Dave

I could sell you a good stock FD coil set cheap, and overnight it to you if that would be of any help. I have an IGN smart coil setup so I'll never use it. Matter of fact I think I have 2 sets of stock FD coils.

Brap on my DGRR friends.

As I am 4,231 miles away (Rabat, Morocco), I cannot attend this year. Have a great time. Looks like the weather is going to be good for you.

I turn the mantle over to Dale in leading the Friday drive through the Cherohala Skyway. Stay safe and enjoy.

Hope all is well with you Nick. I had the car in its best shape last year and then COVID happened.

Can't leave well enough alone with the FD. While I am gone, the car is getting a DCT transmission and paddle shift conversion via the adapter kit Neal (Islander) put together and possibly a carbon/ceramic, 6 piston caliper front brake upgrade.

/|\This. Definitely a concern. My car gets **** fuel economy and most stations around me are running out. Wonder how the stations around swain/graham counties will be holding up later this week?

I think the initial round of gas hoarding is over. But, just be smart and fill up when you can and be prepared to drive if need be to find gas.

Killboy posted that only 2 gas stations in the area were out the other day, but tankers are rolling.

Hope so.

Im putting together a small rotary specific tool kit to throw in the car for the trip, anyone got any recommendations on what should be in there? Obviously wrenches, sockets (8,10, 12 etc.), adjustable wrench, screwdrivers, vice grips, any other suggestions?

Random bits of wire, lots of hose clamps, zip ties, and tape.
