DGRR 2013-A formal thanks

I just wanted to take this time to thank all of you who attended DGRR 2013.To me it was the very first time I attended and if I am ok with a huge personal problem I have,I will be there next year as well.First off,id like to thank Phil for organizing such a great event for us rotorheads and our passion for these vehicles. Some if not all become a family when these events happen.I won the entry to DGRR on a raffle at Carlisi's 2012 meet here in my back yard in NJMP in Jersey.Ive heard about Phil through another friend who knows him and he was right on point describing how great of a person he was.I also want to thank Rich and Ihor from IRP in New Jersey for allowing me to ride together with them back up north and the help while at DGRR.Along with Rich and Ihor, there were a couple of guys. One from Connecticut with his girl on a black FD,and the silver FD from Jersey(sorry I didnt get your names). One can never forget to mention Mr.David Hayes and his great looking car. Thanks for letting me tag along and follow you pretty much anywhere you went. Also, although I didnt get his name id like to say thanks to the young man and his father who locked his keys inside his car at the Microtel, who came from Canada. They were great to talk to and learned a bit from them in conversation.

I left New Jersey at 1:30pm Friday all by myself and arrived at Bryson City at 3am.By the time I found a hotel and got to bed,I had 3 hours to sleep for Saturdays fun.Spending the day with all of you was fun although I was always by myself for the most part.In total,I drove 1370 miles round trip, spent about $600 in two days which wasnt bad at all,oil leak, check engine light, worn brakes/tires,but would do it again next week if I had the chance.I currently do not own a rotary vehicle, but thats how passionate I am for them. For most who dont know who I am,I am the guy with the light blue BMW with "DGRR 2013"on the rear window(not the M3).Once again, thank you all for attending a great event and hope to see you soon, maybe at Chris Carlisi's Memorial meet at the Poconos.

Hey gafu!

The Spanish guy from New Jersey right

I was the guy with the black FD on the trailer who got his keys locked inside!

I am glad you started this thank you thread, I also find it super cool that Phil and his group took the time to get something like this organized. It is very nice of them to put their time and energy to put something together where people who genuinely love their cars. The best part for me is how the people that are part of this club come together to help someone out in need. That's the kind of charisma and character an automotive club should share and I beleive we have that.

I look forward of preparing my things to come down from Canada. Next time I'm hoping to bring a bigger crew.

I want to sent special thanks to David Hayes, Ben Muibubbles, the weird (Marco), gafu, ihor, rich, the guy who unlocked my car, Costa and the group of 20 guys that help me get the car off of my trailer!! Without you guys I would have driven more than 19 hours for nothing! Instead you guys helped get my car on the dragons tail the very morning of the ride!!!

Thank you again and hopefully see you soon!

Andrew

Thanks for coming out My first year as well and I had a great time.

I was the guy in the black 2010 Mazdaspeed3... maybe next year I'll bring my 7, although that's a long drive in a small car.
