Did they do something different this year? I liked when you could just Paypal and put your name on the list.

Reddozen what did you do?

Kevin and I had to move the databases around, and cleaned up some permissions etc on the website to speed it up, and it's causing some hiccups. We'll have it fixed shortly.

EDIT:
fixed

Yes lol 2014 I'll be there for sure. We still have like 9 feet of snow in April here in Canada. I doubt my car would be able to snowplow even 1 inch of snow down my 200 foot driveway.

I updated the itinerary to the official 2013 list, and added an "event locations" map to the Event Info tab on the site.

The Event Locations are important meeting points during the event. If you have an important location that I missed, or that you want added to the list, please let me know what the location is, and the Google latitude and longitude (Latitude and Longitude of a Point)

That is REALLY weird... I'll look into that...

EDIT:
What I think is going on is that the the counter that orders the names is off from the counter that builds the display names. Several people seem to have this same problem.... I'll get this fixed today.

Thanks again for the info rwatson5651. I got the map points all fixed, and went ahead and cleaned up some formatting with them. I found several small problems similar to yours while I was fixing that one specifically.

If you guys find anymore problems just let me know.

A guest is no different than a participant. Anyone that comes with you for the purpose of "hanging out" with you or at the event has to be registered. How they get there isn't important They can register and pay themselves, or you can pay for them as a guest. It's $30 per person.

Guests get a T-Shirt, goodie bag, free raffle ticket, and full access to the event just like everyone else.

Got it , also could the guess pay at the event ? or do they need to pre register , as I'm not sure if they will go or not.

That I do not know. If they did pay at the event, I would think that it would cost more, and they probably wouldn't get a goodie bag or t-shirt. those aren't guaranteed after like march 13 or so.

I think the site could use a good "what do I get for registering" page
thats easy to get to before even registering on the forum. I just had this
same discussion with someone who is going but was not quite convinced
to fork over the monies to register for the event.

It could be short and sweet like:

Registering gets you:

1. T-shirt
2. Goody bag
3. Raffle tickets
4. Banquet attendance (and raffle)
5. Car show participation and/or voting.

The lodge is booked and the microtel is almost booked. They don't have anymore room left with the buy 2 get 1 free deal. I was told I could ask for 10% off. Thurs, fri, and sat would run about $250. The sleep inn about 10 mins away has rooms the rates are about the same coming to $250 for 3 nights. There is also a camp site near called turkey creek, fun.... $10 a night. $4 per car and I think I read somewhere that you could shower after 11:00 am for $5...... The water shed cabins are amazing to say the least. But I can't afford that right now. I'm coming from about 6 hours away. Anyone have room for 2??? If not its the microtel for us. LMK

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone at the event. We had a great time even though we spent 75% of our time working on our cars.

Thank you to all the organizers, all those from nj ny for helping a stranded canadian out on the side of i 81 (costas, rich, ihor), to ben for making us lol, marco for getting andrews car up and running, david always a pleasure and you saved the day on andrews car and ofcourse ray crowe who somehow had the parts needed to get my car fixed on site. It was also a great pleasure meeting people face to face who i have followed for a long time online.

After 2500 miles of driving we learned many lessons on how to get to deals gap. Fortunately we made it home safe with both cars, we will be back, even better prepared.

I heard a pretty broad estimate anywhere from 1/2hr to 1hr+ with the addition of all the pics that were taken by the photographer.
