Whats Wall Street saying about the new forum Owners?

IF we want to change the way the forum is being handled by the handlers(the mods) we will need to educate the stockholders. IB is an IPO throwing around vast sums of cash and turning the advertising over to commisioned salespeople. IB Doesnt care about the "community" or even what we talk about here or Corvetteforums or anywhere. IB could care less about the tech forums being filled with mis-information/ IB doesnt care if the rip-off artists return. What does IB care about?

REVENUE.
The more traffic the better they look to the shareholders

So how is revenue generated? Traffic.

So now you can deduce for yourself how to bring about change to the forum that so many helped grow, but that so few are enjoying the benfits of its growth.

Where was IB when Ryan and Boosted7 were asking for donations to buy larger/faster servers?

Who stepped up with donations? Answer: a Lot of the "little vendors" who didnt mind helping the venue out.

So now that IB has bought the forum, who are the first targets to squeeze out of the forum? Thats right, the little vendors. IB wants to charge a company whose GROSS SALES are $600/month: $200/month to have a link to their website in their sig. 1/3 of your gross income to have a signeture in your posts.

If you are one of the "little venders" email the following folks at IB and let them know your concerns about their rates:

No no no... I can say **** because you people are all the same. And I quote,

"WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH I LIKE TEH ****!!"

If you don't like it, I don't give a **** if you've been here four years or four days, GTFO. Stop complaining. People are here that like the place, and they come here to enjoy it and learn something.

But there's a group of these so-called "vets" who just **** their pants over a ******* internet site and complain 24/7 once ONE thing goes wrong.

For real, STFU.

These so-called "vets" are directly responsible for the construction of website so far. All of the luxuries that you don't know you enjoy (faster servers, detailed accurate info in help sections, dedicated mods, ect..) were built upon their hard work, dedication and donations. Comments like "**** their pants over a ******* internet site" truly demonstrate not only the kind of person you are, but also the lack of depth you invoke with this club. You don't deserve to be part of the greatness, the memories and the fellowship that this club has stood for over the years. It's not just "ONE" thing that has gone wrong. The very site that many of us have avidly supported and participated in for years has been commercialized and key members are being banned for business etiquette that was kosher for years, what's next? Pay for membership?

Perhaps you should do a little research on the history of this club so that you can gain an accurate perspective of what all the commotion is about before you open your little peep-hole and spatter off. On the other hand, maybe you're lost? The vtec forums are thata way kid. -----------> vtec.net/forums (you'll fit in great).

Hey, do everyone a favor. Wait until Boostd7 finishes with the conference call and this settles out to just start jumping ship. I'm interested in seeing how he changes the direction of the current situation. You should be too.

If anyone has anything constructive to say, please post it in the other thread otherwise these threads are going to start getting locked.
