Ads like this are usually sourced through a third party company like Google so board owners would not be involved with particular ads.

I do think that Z is kind of hot. maybe I'll trade in my FD for it. It will safe me thousands on repairs. Oh wait I forgot, I want a kick *** car that only a few possess and many admire. I love my FD

The new 370 is an incredible feat. To drop so much weight and gain so much performance over the 350 in the current mood of auto manufacturers is fantastic.

I've heard mostly positive things about the 350Z. But the only one that ever appealed to me was the Z32TT IMO, the 90's were the golden age of Japanese sports cars.

We haven't sold our soul. The members are still the soul. So unless you guys have sold out we are still alive and well.

IB just owns the body we exist within. If you don't like the ads there are plenty of adblockers out there for you to install and use.

This is correct. Your likely to see the same banners across half a dozen other boards. I know that the ads are managed at a level beyond the average rx7club staff member. If you guys want more information there is a link to contact IB at the bottom off the page.

To my knowledge the banners are a mix between locally targeted banners (ie rotary vendors) and national advertisers.

Just like on TV, sometimes you get ads for a local business, sometimes you get ads for national brands.

If we could buy the site back we would, but the simple math is that's not possible.

People need to get over the sale to IB and realize that crying and moaning for the next decade isn't going to turn the clock back.

The facts are, despite the additional banner advertising (which can be elminated by adblockers) IB hasn't done anything bad to the site. We have eliminated 99% of the spammers that used to pillage the site, we've made strong advances to pursue bad sellers (although we have no obligation to do so) we've added a dozen or so user requested sub-forums and continue to provide the same old user community that we always have.

Technologically speaking, the servers are more reliable, the database is quicker and we have a much more stable platform. Updates to the forum have been made and we have been (slowly) adding new features and options.

If people don't like it they are welcome to move on.

Making new accounts because your old ones got banned will get you banned again don't you know. It even says so in the F.A.Q.

When someone is banned that isn't our way of saying run along now and make a new user ID and come back... it means GTFO your not wanted here.

LOL

So, you're saying right here that we can ban you again?

LOL

That's like walking up to a cop and kicking him in the nuts and saying "I just did the right thing".

LOL

This guy should be the RX7Club mascot. Oh god, this is a great thread!
