I think allowing non vendor posting in the vendor classified section would be nice. In other forums I seen where members are allow to post in their section but WTB only. This allow for Vendors to give you better prices as I seen in other forums. Also take a lot of work out when you are looking for a parts/accessories. Instead of calling around to numerous places, just make a post and see who has it in stock for the best price.

 

Appreciate the suggestion Rick, but the Vendor Classified are actually an evolution of what we used to have that you're asking for - one big forum. Problem with that approach was that there is SO much volume on a big site like this that both the Vendor ads AND the private User ads rapidly get buried on page 2 or lower, and no one sees them. As a result, no one was happy. So we created a private Vendor Classifieds forum for the Vendors since they PAY to keep this site running, and broke out the User classifieds into subforums by types.
