Many times I have seen people get hammered for repeat posts, not searching and so on. I myself have likely made similar mistakes over the past couple of years.

I just noticed on the crackberry.com forum that when you type in your subject in to the title it automatically searches for similar threads.

I have no idea if it is easy to do or not but I figured it would help reduce the number of needless posts. It would also cut down on the number of times people get flamed for repeat posts.....especially new members.


Below is a quick example. When making a new topic I put in blackberry and webmail. Before I get to put in the body of my post it already pulls up similar threads. You would have to be almost drunk not to notice that it was already posted......

That's a plug in that can be added to VBB, the forum software. I believe our owners are working on something even better, but I'll pass this along. Thanks for bringing it up!
