Hi,
I have been wondering about the rx7club's banner at the top of the website and since i love to draw, if i put some time and effort into drawing an updated banner for the site would anybody consider it?
Let me know if you think it's a good or bad idea.
I understand if some people might prefer a more senior member have the privilege to do the artwork but i will listen to all opinions.
If you happen to have any suggestions as to what you would like to see in the banner that would be great to let me know and i will see what i can do with it.

If you'd like to work up a new logo, and here staff approves it, I'll be happy to get it put up in place of the current sadly outdated one. It needs to be a .jpg with dimensions and resolution of 752x85x24-bits. Ideally the new image will have all 3 generations of RX-7's represented, a rotor, and of course the RX7Club.com site name.

I'll do a few sketches and when i find one that i like i'll post it to this thread to see what people think.
I expect it to take a week or so until i get it right and any feedback wether good or bad will be appreciated.

The mobile app apparently has a new banner but it's not scheduled to make an appearance here. It'll be interesting to see what you come up with. I'm an illustrator also but I don't even have time to just doodle anymore.

I'm fairly busy myself lately so i'll keep you guys updated on the progress incase i'm taking too long and a more appropriate alternative shows up.
I was thinking if i used photoshop on the computer i might be able to make it seem a bit more formal and modern rather than relying on just my pen and paper skills.
I just then downloaded the mobile app, it looks and works excellent!

That's a good idea misterstyx69.
I did have a couple of different ideas drawn out and after that i felt that my banner was going to be worse than the current one, partly because i'm busy as and i'm fairly incapable of producing nice looking computer assisted artwork which is what this banner probably needs to be done with.
Perhaps the winner could also get some small advertising spot as further incentive to make it look sick! especially if they happen to be a vendor on this forum.
But, that's just a suggestion; It's not really my place to say that because i'm not an admin or mod yano.
I think if anyone happened to make a banner that's an improvement over the current banner, then the mods/admin(s?) will probably update it for us.
So yeah, everyone, get sketching/designing/whatever you call it and it would be wicked to have the banner changed to a new one hopefully.

We need to run a campaign with all users to get submissions, which will lead to new banners. Added to the todo list!

 

Is the Banner contest over? Has voting finished? Who's the winner?
