non-decriptive thread titles
i know that this isnt going to last here but here goes
yes technically im a "noob" b/c i dont have a high post count but i have been around for a while. so heres my big issue. 1st is people creating threads with non-descriptive thread titles like HELP!!!! or exhaust or performance or cat, what the hell is up with that, what is the problem and maby they will get some help. 2nd is users arguing over stupid things that take up space and dont answer the original poster's question, or have little or nothing to do with the thread.
this section needs to be cleaned up a little or im just wrong and behind the curve. so if you have something stupid non-constructive or otherwise not helpful take it to the lounge so some people who are interested in getting help or helping others can do so with out having to read through 50 posts of nonsense.

+1 bud. pull the stick out while your at it. but seriously, just people some people are not as talented at searching or thread naming as you, it doesn't mean they dont have a genuine problem. take a look at most of the threads that have titles like HELP....why do you think they need help? because there in a bind or they are panicking....what ever happened to giving people the benefit of the doubt anyways?

I just don't waste my time looking at threads with non-descriptive titles. If you're too lazy to write half a dozen words that generally describe the thread's topic, why should I bother helping? This doesn't require "talent", just a minimum level of intelligence.

I've been barking up this tree for years, and it's pointless. For a while I was retitling threads but after a week I gave up because people weren't getting the idea. Really, why should I care anyway? A poor title only hurts the one who posted the thread anyway...

You have to get the members to read first, lol.
I also tried going in and changing thread titles to reflect what the member was needing. I would post things like.
I changed the title of your thread for several reasons.
1). So that members would know what help you were asking for
2). For future reference when members are using the search function they would find related threads.
3). When you use a good thread title then after you post their will be related threads listed at the bottom of the page that may help you find your answers while waiting on other members to respond to your question
