meet threads for regional clubs
Having threads in each section that are for meet information. the information is maintained by the respective clubs and possibly only one person is able to edit the contents of the thread. that person (possibly a club president or club official) would have full control over the thread, adding and removing polls, editting and deleting posts.
the idea modivating this is that right now if a club wants to give information about its meet, it starts a new thread...that thread will run until the meet and a few days afterwards and then be left to die...and if monthly meets are happening, then each month a new thread starts. then there are the times that clubs post polls to decide where to have the meet...look another thread...if anyone is subscribing to a meet thread, then they have to go search for a new thread about new meets in their area...
but if the clubs had individual threads, maintained by a member of the club, then if they need to post a poll, they can do it in that thread the end the poll when they need to and edit the original post to reflect the CURRENT info on the next meet...
i know i personally get discouraged when i start into a meet thread and its takes a few pages to get to the info about the meet...
i know that mods have control over thread and have updated lists (like the 3rd gen first name database thread)...so would it be possible to give mod privilages to certain people over a single thread each?
of course, i think this idea is already done for the subforums of "Rotary Owner Events"...

I don't know, seems too involved already and your method requires even more involvement.
Here is what we did:
Junpower asked a MODERATOR to make this thread a stiky:
https://www.rx7club.com/west-rx-7-forum-193/nor-cal-rotary-club-707481/
We discuss possible meeting spots, details, brainstorm. Once we have something semi-planned we just set it up in .
We made this after the meet: excuse the bandwidth issues with photobucket.
https://www.rx7club.com/west-rx-7-forum-193/barc-emmeryville-meet-1-12-08-a-720778/
After it's done we go back to the stickied thread and brainstorm again. If the next meet requires more info/details/anything else to get the finalized plans, then we make something like this:
https://www.rx7club.com/west-rx-7-forum-193/barc-2-gokartracer-lemans-karting-what-time-727280/
In the case above, we won't need to make another thread for pics since this is already available. We'll just post them in there.
Your method seems more involved. Keep it simple yet organized.

We might be able to extend user rights to certain individuals for editing purposes. However our regional mods should already be avalible for you to utilize.
I would recommend that the contact for each club interested contact me or Icemark in regards to this (try me first, since I'm working this issue). Once we can verify that user is indeed the "spokesperson" for the interested club we can work with them to create a individualized profile.
I hope this helps.
