So what excuse is there from IB as to why it's been timing out constantly since this 'attack' last week? Every day this week, there are 15 minute periods each hour or so where it times out repeatedly ... just had one of those periods a few minutes ago.

Back up to speed again...hope it stays this way. Big increase in speed from before the attack, no doubt about it.

Oh, my....be very careful treading those waters, my friend...the man still has friends in all the right places.

As an asides, the speed is back to ZAP on my Firefox here at home but still a bit off on the work PC which is sad since that's the T1 pipe connection.

I hardly come on here anymore because it takes 3 minutes for me to load every page - it's the same from work or home, so I know it's not the computer. It been going on for about 3 weeks or so. This used to happen to me once in a while, but now it's every time I visit the site. Its driving me nuts .

3 minutes you've got some serious issues.

According to alexa avg page load time is 4.63 seconds... not a speedy load by any means but not the worst I've seen.

Looking at the average load time won't really show thre problems because it's so intermittant and does it even register a time when the page times out? When it lags I just refresh till it loads in an acceptable time so I'm sure it doesn't count the pages that never completely loaded.

It's very slow for me too. I always thought it's cause I'm in Turkey or Australia. Often I have to click once and while it's slowly trying to load my reply to a post (which ends up in connection error) I have to click again to submit, I don't know how but it works.

Eitherway I'm a member of quite a few forums (mostly US) and I can say this is one of the slowest ones.

I'm not complaining, I'm happy to be here but since we're talking about it just wanted to let OP know he's not the only one.

It has been noticably slower for me as well. Pages intermittently take easily 30 seconds or more to load up. Ironically, this is my second post attempt, first one timed out after 3+ mins.

Well, today it's running better for me (10-20 second load times), but for the last 3 weeks or so I would have to refresh every page for a few minutes at a time. I've on this forum for years and never had it that bad... maybe it was just a lot of timeouts. I have no idea.

... although it did just take over a minute to load the reply page .
