Is it just me or is the forum slow as hell again?
I blame DKJ...I mean...I blame the google bots. At any given time there are probably twice as many "guests" here than members...

IB should restrict access so that you have to login to view the forum, like they do on poopraforums and such.

I would'nt be surprised if that's what is lagging the forums, but there is never more than 20 people at a time viewing that thread. More people view "Show pics of your FD" thread in 3rd Gen Spec.But if BAW shuts down the forum again, there would have to be another forum started just for BAW.

it's amazing..the Post pics thread has over 10x more views than the FAQ...and people wonder why FDs have such a bad rep for being unreliable. People should stop whacking it to pics of our sexy cars and start learning how to treat the car...

Umm yea who gives a ****.. People are more attracted to pictures than text... and hey all the newbies don't know how to search so they come up with the same questions every week

There are a hundred "post pics" threads in every generation. They are full of pictures. These pictures use bandwidth.

Text uses so much less bandwidth.

It's definately been slow lately, but I have no insight anymore as to why ... all I can guess is that since Internet Brands keeps buying more and more sites, they're outgrowing their infrastructure.

seems logical. I saw they moved the DB to a new server last weekend. It only seems marginally better though. Sounds like you agree.

The slowness is definately due to the db. They have a good tech staff there though, I wouldn't expect any slowness to last long.
