Ideas for handling of classified threads

Just my $.02 here, but instead of just deleting threads, how can a better method of getting the required information posted be done?

For example, I apparently forgot to put my state listed (I swear I did...ok I'm a dumbass). Now, I appreciate the help there, but I would have never known that. How does that help anyone? The mods have to go through and approve, delete, edit, or whatever anyway, so why can't either...

1) Certain fields be made mandatory else the thread can't be created to begin with.

2) We be allowed to post 'em anyway and let the creator have a chance to correct them after the fact.

3) Loosen some of the restrictions.

I don't want to get into the politics of why these things are here, but in the interest of streamlining the process, I'm sure that some ideas can be tossed around to get this in a better place.

Thanks!

There are about only 5% of you out there who are not as detailed-oriented as they need to be if they wish to sell here.

If you cannot even get the ad right........

The system works, it definitely will never see a "loosening" of the restrictions.
