Has the forum moderation changed?
I noticed that many OT posts in a thread I was monitoring were removed. The thread was on topic until a long time member started his typical attacks which started to pull the thread off topic.
I nearly quit coming to this forum because of this member. Moderators let the attacks go and the result was that this forum, for me, was no longer fun.
Recently that member nearly quit posting and I started to come back. With the attacks in the thread I was watching I started thinking it's time to move on again.
Then, wham!, his posts as well as the rebuttals were gone!
So my question to the moderators on this board - Has the tolerance for personal attacks on this board changed? Are they now no longer tolerated?

There has never realy been a "tolerance" for personal attacks here.
We have a larger and more active staff now that we have had in various times in the past which may account for some of the change.
If anyone is being attacked or sees an attack of some sort in progres they are obliged to notify a staff member. Given there is some room for friendly flaming and some banter is alowed blatant and disrespectful attacks wil not be allowed.
For what it's worth, we are glad your back.

No, I just wanted to get a feel for the level or moderation, which sounds like a big improvement. The member I mentioned hasn't posted much here any more either. I guess since it isn't his sandbox he took his toys home.
