I moved all your spam into the midwest section for you for your thread.

Once you have an event planned there in the midwest (since that appears to be the only area you want to drive too), we can create a event section for it.

Then all the regions could be attracted as it would show up as a rotary event.

You said you wouldn't go to the west coast for 7 stock... so that probably means you wouldn't drive to Florida, or BC or anywhere else other than the mid-west, so how do you justify starting an event that you wouldn't attend.

Or are you figuring you would just come up with the idea, and someone else would spend their valuable time getting their buddies and other enthusiasts to do it for you?

Do you understand events like 7 stock are put on by the area club (for example 7 stock is put on by the SoCal RX club, and Rotary Fest is put on by the NorCal 7s club).

You want an event, and you are president of your regional club... put it on.

Yeah, you said it was not RR. so what is the point posting there? Is it RR? Are you taking over RR and putting RR 2008 on???

If not, again, you start locally if you want an event local to you. Pretty cut and dry... and I sure am not sure the mental block you are having with that idea.

You're missing the whole point! I don't want this to solely be a local thing, setup and run by local people and attended my local members. I want those from a N-A-T-I-O-N-A-L audience to provide input and assistance. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Ok, who's another admin to chat with here? Just like talking with first level support, who's the next in line? This is utterly rediculous. I know who's watching and let's just say that his response was MUCH more reasonable elsewhere.

Let me ask you this, and please answer. Why is it so difficult to open that main events forum? What issues will it cause? What problems will occur if we're allowed to post in there? Strain on the mods to look at another forum? Please. Strain on the forum as a whole because of additional load? Heh...not with the sesspool that is the lounge still in existence. If you can give me a legitimate, logical reason why this cannot be open then so be it. All I've seen here are excuses from one person. What happened to killjoy or the rest of the admins? What about the mods?

Why is it so diffucult to understand that what I'm trying to do is get information, support and help from a much broader audience. I'm not asking you for anything, nor will I.

You mentioned some other western event that's the 2nd largest thing...lemme ask you something, where are all those events mentioned? In that regional forum? Ok, lemme ask you how many do you think over in this part of the country know about it? Half? A quarter? Not likely. I've never heard of it, probably because I DON'T VISIT OTHER REGIONAL FORUMS! Why would I? Why would anyone? Just because? That's hardly going to get you to hit the target that you're aiming for.

So tell me. WHY? Not because that's how other's have done it. That's an excuse. Not because I want to put it on. I'm not looking to do this alone! Another excuse. Not because it's going to be local to me. I don't KNOW where it's going to be. I mentioned IRP, Gateway, and MAM as references as they had similar facilities that may be able to support such a thing. Again, another excuse.

Stop making excuses and give me reasons. Let's get others involved here as well. I can't imagine that you're the end all say all to this. If so...
