hey, go check out rs25.com's photo classifieds section. they use vbulletin too. it's so much easier to find stuff on there because they have it split into all kinds of catagories AND they have like little thumbnail views of what people are selling. then inside the product "thread" they have all kinds of feilds and stuff to organize everything. I don't know why every forum site doesn't have that system instead of the standard thread system. It would be one of the BEST improvements to this site IMO but this site rocks anyway. just something to think about if you want to help us cheap part shoppers out.

I checked this out... it doesn't look like many people actually use this system to their benefit.
Not sure what hack they did to add that photo system. Anyone else have thoughts on this idea?

well, even just the thumbnail to the left of the thread title would be helpful so people can get an idea of whats in the FS thread before going into it. that and a price column, people don't like putting their price in the thread title half the time. Since you can put those state abreviations to the left of your thread, couldn't you do basically the same thing only with the ability to upload a pic? I don't really know that much on how it works. I did see that they have vbulletin advanced on the vbulletin site, maybe they are using that one?
Also, I don't know internet rules for webmasters but maybe you could ask RS25.com's creator how he did it or even just what he used if its a program or something. like I said, it would be much easier to surf the classifieds with that system and I think more people would buy things because of it. thanks for considering it!

you could try looking on some php or html forum or whatever code you have to use for it. Also, maybe post a poll up on the homepage about this and ask if other members think its a good idea or if they want to stay with the current system. just link to the rs25.com classifieds main so they can see what we are talking about. just throwing ideas around.

Did some google digging for ya and came up with this! It's $70 but I'm sure you are getting at least some money from ad sense etc so hope you can afford it.
