Ok, making a FS thread today and I go to upload a few pictures for it. I'm told I'm over my quota. Ok, works for me, the other stuff I have I can delete.

Anyway, I get looking and my quota seems to be around 200 kB for attachments, but the Max Filesize I'm allowed for gif, jpeg, or jpg is 250 kB? Why is it set to allow 250 kB pics when your quota is only about 200 kB??

 

Not sure what error your getting. Can you post the exact error? There is no specific quota I am aware of. Some users have a couple hundred MB of attachments. Where are you looking that you see your quota limit?

Looking at your profile you currently only have the two attachments you uploaded today. Both are well below the size limits.

 

current attachments = 180.4 kB.

when i started out today, i also had a few megs worth of attachments, but when I tried to add more, it came up telling me i was 2.02 megs over my quota.

so, a little quick math, my quota is 200 kB, though I do not know when that was enacted and checked. Last attachments I put up before today were a few months ago. I was also commenting on the fact that i have 200 kB quota but 250 kB file size is the max for some file formats.

 

Lemmie do some looking. I think I know what the problem is. It has to do with your "Pink" usergroup.

 

Test it with normal permissions and see if it does it. I'm still looking for the conflict.

 

my pink name?!?! ok, it works now just fine. i don't have the "quota" bar anymore and was able to add the below picture.

well, i'll give up being able to go to DoO if it lets me do more attachments.

It's not to do with the DoO access as much as it is the Pink username. All the settings are right in the CP, so it might be buried in the code somewhere.

I remember Icemark saying that the Pink username came with some odd restrictions, I bet the attachment thing was one of them.

It probably was DKJ. The Pink usernames gave alot of funky options like "secret access" to a certain "section".

 

Yeah. Pink... it's like red, but not quite.
