anything approaching 500 rwhp needs a twin disc clutch. we have small flywheels that present modest frictional area. yet we make significant power.

three solutions, two of them not friendly to real world traffic situations:

more spring pressure. not fun on the leg or the actuating arm.

aggressive frictional material. cerametallic is on or off. not fun to drive

more frictional area.... a WINNER... thus a twin disc.

Exedy checked both frictional area and proper spring pressure but made the wrong frictional material decision... cerametallic.
