Zeitronix wideband controller
Zeitronix wideband controller
anyone know where i can get a ZT-2 somewhere in Canada? i've been able to find it at one site, http://www.jdmwest.ca/store/ , but i am wondering if there are any other places that sell it?
well, i decided just to order from Zeitronix (in the states) directly. in case anyone is interested in picking up a wideband, it is a decent way to go.
they are shipping it using USPS EMS, and in the past this service has always been fast (~week) and no added fees/brokerage.
i went with the ZT-2 because the price was right (about $300 USD after shipping), and it lets you datalog the AFR along with RPM and gives an extra input for whatever (TPS, BOOST, etc.). you can also hook up an EGT sensor.
the other choice i was looking at was one of the techedge units, which is potentially a better unit, but shipping would take longer on those and i am already busy enough getting all the parts and assembly of the MegaSquirt (techedge units come in DIY kits, unless you want to overpay for the prebuilt ones).

well, i got the wideband today. which is super fast considering i ordered it last Thursday, and it is coming from California.
anyways, even with USPS your are not safe from fees. i got charged the 14% tax, and also an $8 "handling fee" from Canada Post. ah well. still better than bending over for UPS brokerage i guess.
you just can't win...
