The Speed Machine Performace (silver bullet) has come north!!

Yes, it's true!!!!!! The Speed Machine Performance built 13b Re FC3S has come to the North!!!!

I know that most of you already know about this car and what it's all about.... But i am privledged to say that i am the proud new owner of the beast from SO-CAL. And for those of you who haven't heard about it here is a little bit of info on it:

It started out as a beautiful red stock 88 n/a(with no rust do to it's california heritage i might add) The chasis was totally stripped down and built back up with JIC- coilovers, TII Breaks with slotted rotors, a 14 point roll cage(that is an absolute work of art), and of cousrse all new factory suspension parts right from Mazda.... They even went to the extent of cryogenicly treating the rear axles and LSD rear end(awsome!!!), they chopping out the whole rear end building in a tubular frame with thin sheet that resulted in 200lbs of weight loss in the rear alone!!!

Then they put a countless number of hours into moulding huge widebody front and rear fenders, shaving the body mouldings, and painting the beast!! They topped this off with a CP racing sleek light conversion and fiber images CF TII hood, front lip, mirrors, and sunroof cover!!!!!

Then they went on to the fuel system; it's made up with a 20L fuel cell suspended off of the roll cage in the rear, an A1000 fuel pump(which wines like crazy when the car runs and sounds sooo mean), all breaded lines take the fuel up to a custom made fuel rail with 550cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries!

Now comes the heart of the Beast!!!!!!!!!!! It is a fully ported and cryogenically treated 13B RE powered by a Haltech E8 injection system, Garett To4 turbo with 70 trim, twin turbosmart ultragate waste gates, a turbosmat supersonic Blow off valve, FMIC with custom piping, and a Ron Davis custom rad.(wow) And if that isn't enough, it's set up with a 4 port direct injection NOS system and a NOS intercooler sprayer putting an extra 250hp to the motor with the flick of a switch!!!!!!!

The car was dynoed at 13.2lbs of boost(which is a low capabilty for this set up) and made 460hp to the rear wheels!!!!!

Sorry to go on for so long but this is my(along with others i asume) dream car and i'm still trying to get my head around the fact that i own it, so the excitement just poors out!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to read about the new addition to my RX-7 family!!!!!!!

Awesome, what are your plans for it? 12a swap? V8 swap? hahahaha

Seriously though, what do you actually want to do with it? Im assuming you'll never get it registered in Ont.....is it a track only monster?

Thanks for posting the pics cosmic!!!!! The car is deffinately here already. I made the trek out to Dallas Texas to pick it up three weekends ago(what a draining mission that was) but all worth it in the end...... And oh yes, it will be on the road by next season its gonna be alot of work to get it up to registration standards but thats where all the fun is!!!!!! Sigh//

Right now i just got all of the sponsor stickers off it, and am getting it preped for paint in the next couple of weeks...... i'm hoping to get it to the track at least once this season, and maybe a show or two/

Well it's none of my business anyways, If your happy with it thats all that matters.
Why are you going to repaint...It looks great the way it is, and I'm sure its not a cheap paint job on there now....don't like the colour?

If I remember right it didn't meet the reserve price on ebay when it closed at over $20,000 US. It's a nice car but if I had $20-30K to spend on a car I would probably get an FD instead.

There is only 1 thing i would change on the car and 2 things that would be debateable to change

the thing i think needing to be changed is

make the front and rear bumpers smooth (take all the "lines" off and make em smooth as the body)

then the other two are just remove stickers and get smaller rims :P

Nice ride Though.. i like it...

Robin: "Holy negative rear camber Batman!"

Seriously though, that's the first thing I'd change, otherwise after a week of driving it it'll need new rear tires. But those tires are very close to the fenders, I'd immaging that full lock steering is out of the question, raising it a bit should help both the tire/fender proximity and the camber. That's also a lot of NOS. A 350 shot, holy crap! That'd be a brave moment when it comes time to push the button for the first time.

Very nice car though, it's bad ***! You must be very happy to have such a nice car. I'd love to have a car like that.

Hmmm i have thats why i wear contacts, so maybe its you that should have their eyes checked.

Is it because i said "cluster" and not "surround", or becuase its carbon fiber and not OEM??? What ever the case im sure you catch my drift of it being an FD looking piece smart ***

holy cow! you're putting it on the road??nice.

I would only take it through the drive through at Tim's then do smoke shows in the parking lot

At least I won't be the only sucker on the road with a CP racing headlight kit!!

Beautiful car.....how is the tune BTW? and who did the tune?

MOST cars of this mangnitude are lowered right to the bottem for pictures. they would not actually perform with the tire that clsoe to the fender!
