Hey does anyone know of a reputable work wheels dealer preferably in the GTA?

 

I would try www.tires23.com they are near Dixie and Matheson. I have bought a few sets of tires there and always been pleased.

Mine came from tires23 as well. Perhaps I just had some bad luck but they were extremely slow in replying to my emails/calls.

 

I emailed them monday and got a reply back yesterday. they said it would take about 3 months to have them made and brought in.

 

It got so bad I started to make notes. I would have gone else where had they not been highlt recommended and Charn not purchased the ris from there.

Went with rim on Oct 15. Terry took a pic with his phone. They will call me back.

Called back Oct 22 because I go no response.

Called back again Oct 25 because I got no response.

Called back on Nov 7th because I got no response.

Emailed on Dec and got a response. Part should arrive in March/April.

Pretty slow! BUT perhaps I was just unlucky. We shall see how this turns out.

I went to their store in Oct 2011. My rims are a 3piece rim and I dented the barrel of one. I decided to just replace the entire barrel (apposed to having it fixed).

They took my information and said they would get back to me. In the mean time I contacted work in the United States and got a price. They were VERY quick to respond but I waited for tire23 to compare prices.

In the end I went with Tire23 because they were cheaper but I am still waiting. Apparently it will be here in April/March. I understand the shipping part taking so long but they wouldn't call me back despite my numerous calls to them.

 

Both Billy and Jackie are stand up guys, I've dealt with them for years and sent many cutomers their way.....all postive from here.

 

Update.

I contacted them again on March 7th via email. Spoke to them March 8th when I got no reply. They said they would call me back. Still got no response so I sent another email today March 13th.

Perhaps the issue is Terry I dunno. I can't believe how brutal this guy is.

Ok I just spoke to them. They don't know where the part is, or if its been ordered. Good thing I put a deposit on it!!!

Guess what they will call me back. Like I haven't heard that before. Holy efff I'm getting pissed. 6months of being jerked around.

 

Here's a good one, I called Tires 23 to see about ordering new hardware to bolt my 2 piece rims together.
They are an old set of Work Ewing meshies, the M8 bolts have a very small diameter head and are very hard to find, so ordering direct from Work is about my only option.

The guy at Tires 23 told me "You cant take apart 2 or 3 piece rims, its impossible".

WTF!?

So my business went to a rim specialist in the USA....what a joke.

 

They emailed me back saying it should be here by the end of the month. Might have been the angry email/phone call I gave them. Or perhaps screwing me around for 6months was long enough.

Could have also been during my rant I asked to speak to any other person besides Terry. Regardless I will update at the end of March.....

 

Might be off topic but is it me or are Work Wheels overpriced? They are very nice but seems to me they are heavy and pricey.

 

Its like anything in life. You can buy something for a resonable amount of money or you can pay a fortune to get virtually the same result.

End of March has passed so I called them again.

Called on April 3rd. It *might* have arrived in Vancouver but not sure. Try calling back later.....zzzZZz
