Search is your friend - this topic comes up every year. Welcome to the rotary world Storing a 7 isn't really different from storing any car.

Pay attention to the storage myths - you do not want to start up your car every week - it just adds gas, moisture, and other contaminants to the oil, the worse for the fact that if the car isn't driven and run at normal operating temps, the contaminants accumulate quicker.

This is correct.

Aaron Cake's procedure is very thorough. I think if you were to store the car for a couple of years if not more, I would follow what Aaron does.

However, if you do run it every season, it'll only be out of commission for about 4-5months (depending on our winter season)

If you have access to the car all the time (meaning you have a garage of your own), the most I do is disconnect the battery (I leave it in the car since the garage is part of the home. Kinda temp regulated), fill the tank and add fuel stabilizer. That's about it.
During the winter months I rock the car back and forth every 2-3 weeks to avoid flat spotting the rubber. Rock it back, and leave it there for 2 weeks and then rock it forward for another 2-3 weeks.

Come spring I change out the oil, swap out the plugs for clean ones, reconnect the battery, and start her up. Take her out for the first spring drive.

I just disconnect the battery and don't touch it until spring lol. If you have to start it for whatever reason, let it run for a long time.

Just remember that when taking shortcuts, short term storage of a few months can turn into years very easily. Then the car has sat without the proper prep and a huge amount of work is needed to get it running again.

Mine stays outside with a winter car cover between my neighbors house and mine. Our winter air is sooo dry this seems to work fine for me. I also fog the engine, use a ctek trickle charger on occasion (hard wired), use premium fuel (no ethanol blended in) and add stabil to the fuel. And, pump the tires up as well....

I don't nearly do Aaron's full treatment either, but it is the way to go if you plan a longer storage, or if like most Ontario members, for example, you live somewhere where winter is much damper than Calgary (which has less precipitation and lower humidity through the winter months than the Arabian desert!). I change the oil before I store it, add fuel stabilizer, keep it in the garage under a quality car cover (in the past, it stayed outside under the same cover), I inflate the tires to 40psi or so, and every few weeks roll it forward or back a couple feet to keep tires and bearings from flatspotting. I take the battery inside and keep it in my utility room, maybe remember to throw the charger on it once or twice all winter. Been working for me for 13 winters so far with this car.
