id say you need to downshift lower or clutch kick a little to keep your rpm's up around the corners he is accelerating out of the corners much faster then you but you catch him on the straight so I am assuming your power is pretty equal .. but good vid

Great set of video's. I loved the short shift on the left hander leading onto the rivers edge straight. You really really looked traction limited and to me anyways, it looked like you were compromising your lines a bit to get the back end planted. The start looked really hairy and when I was talking to Tim Brown, he said that the first few laps were like car pinball. The mix of cars from Harry's turbo Miata to Pete Hardings NW Tour Stock car is just wild. Watching Pete's car sliding around is pretty special.
Mission must be incredibly frustrating for you to drive on as the car just starts to breathe and you have to lift. I can see why you do so well at Edmonton. Great job and I will tell Tony Morris JR to watch the 1st Part video. its a great shot of his starting lap shenanigans.
By the way, I wouldn't recommend clutch kicking 500 hp +. in any car.

The red car accelerates out of the corner faster bc it is LS7 powered, meaning it makes more torque down low and earlier: aka, corner exit. His car is a 3 rotor with a big turbo on it, keeping the revs high is certain death in tight corners. An NA car of the same power will always be easier to drive at the limit.

posed some info on the racecars in the 20b forum. the engine was worn out ( 4 years of racing)and usually the boost comes in at 3700 rpm instead of 4400 for this race. Its a 1.15 t6 gt42r with a street port b series 20b.

The turbine housing is probably worn out and/or the manifold has exhaust leaks in it. I had/have the same issue with my 500R-SP where the inside of the turbine housing became grounded away due to all the heat. One of the reasons I decided to stop using a turbo blanket even though I can feel the response difference with it on/off and its not a placebo.
Of course it could be boost leaks too.

Or it could have something to do with the 50 psi of compression the motor was down to. Very impressive driving on both parts, I'm looking forward to seeing the re-match. Sorry to see the crash Wouter!
