Who sells left-hand threaded hardware?

Specifically, a left-hand thread screw of the following dimensions and type:

Countersunk head with phillips drive
One inch long
3/16" diameter
20 threads per inch
Minimum grade 5.

I have a Skil brand 18V cordless drill that has severed this bolt in the chuck. I'd hate to throw it into the garbage over a broken screw.

Any info appreciated. I'm in the Calgary area.

Maybe you can just order the part on-line. There's illustrated parts lists here:

Thanks for the link S.

Actually I was looking for a local supplier rather than the manufacturer, but being a specialized screw it's likely available from very few sources.

I tried the link and did two things:

1. Located the local parts supplier for SKIL equipment.

2. E-mailed Skil head office informing them that these wimpy mild steel screws are no match for the 18-volt cordless drills they sell. Go with at least grade 5.

What do you want a cordless drill for anyway? You only need three tools in your toolbox:

1. WD-40 to get things moving.
2. Duct tape to stop things from moving.
3. Bottle opener.

LOL...

1. WD-40, to use as a flamethrower on the first B&E artist I catch in my garage.
2.Duct tape, to suffocate the bastard by taping up his head.
3. Bottle opener, to gouge his eyes out.
4. 18V cordless drill, to drill through his elbows and kneecaps.

I'm such a *****...

What I did when the same thing happened it go to Princess Auto and buy a new chuck. That was the easiest solution for me.

Another place you could try would be a Toll and Die store. They generaly have lots of specialized stuff.

Also, the Skill is likely something like a B&D under its skin. Find your local service centre (most major cities have them) and see if you can match the part. Once I was able to get a screw that hold the blade on a jigsaw from a local B&D parts shop..
