Crappy T only carries Red Line engine oils, not Gear oil for what ever reason... I called once and they said they can't even order the Gear oil, unless it has changed you can't get gear oil there, which in this case is fine.

when i was looking for royal purple, i could only find it in synthetic. Which i wont run in my FD. Do they make a non-synthetic blend?

Crappy T can order Redline gear oil actually, just most of the time the people working there don't know the specific item # to look up through Keystone or whatever. not really their fault though.

and royal purple is no better than any other good synthetic lubes. people get too caught up in the whole fluids thing. no one can seriously say their car is better off using one brand of whole than the other, or even syn vs dino. it's all anecdotal. or maybe whatever they say is all true, i don't know.

...but usually most NAPA stores carry RP.

It's hard to get. I was talking to my buddy that works at Partsource. He said that Royal Purple limits the amount of oil they are allowed to buy. They only get like 2 cases (24 bottles) a month. And most people buy oil by the case because of this reason. That is the 5W30, anything else is a lot more avaliable I think.

I was running redline 20w 50, but after going to Performance Improvments this spring to make my purchase, they informed me that they are no longer selling RL due to the price.

i guess they shot up the price so much that PI decided it wasnt worth it anymore, so now i cant find RL around here, so sad....... I put RP in it instead now 10w 40

You can order RP 20w 50. I just picked up a case from Part Source. I had to wait a day but that isn't a big deal.

I got it in Newmarket.

What we really need is group buy on some Motul Oil. $44 for 2 litres is too rich for me.
