Question Where do you take your car to get detailed

Figured this would be a fun topic since this section is slow these days.

My last FD I used to take it to Gtaindetail but he has moved to Mississauga.

How about you guys/girls?

welcome back indeed.

I do all the cleaning myself as well. Never had the need to take it to a detailer.

J Tough does the finest work I've ever seen. Usually has a million dollars worth of cars awaiting treatment: https://www.facebook.com/jtough.ca

I think he was referring to the old days.
Yes there was more traffic. People were younger and not married/taken. A lot of the old crew have disappeared due to other responsibilities. C'est la vie.
At least you got some responses.

I do the work myself. Including paint correction/polishing etc.

How much does J-tough charge?

I'm also interested – my car needs some TLC and I don't have a good place to do it.

You're going to have to define detailed - do you want it cleaned? Polished? Or are you looking for full paint correction?

A friend of mine just had a guy come to his house to detail his NSX, I haven't seen it yet, but the price was pretty damn good so I'll ask him how he likes it. (I haven't seen it yet)

Edit - he's quite happy with the car. Says the guy got rid of most of the swirl marks - so a partial paint correction. Cost him $200. That price for service at home is awesome. This guy detailed the NSX prototype before it's unveiling and comes highly recommended. No, it's not me.

I've seen paint correction start at $300 and up. I'm going to give J tough a shot because he's close to my home.

It will be after I get the car tuned though, which will be sometime in August

Let me know how you like the work. I might have him do mine as well. I don't have the time to polish it like I would normally.

It's in the middle of summer, so people are busy enjoying the warm. But yes, traffic is lower than it used to be - these cars are getting older with fewer around (and some getting passed on to young kids to use and abuse on their way to something newer).

Did anybody end up using J-Tough this year? I'd like to get my car detailed after fixing the paint.
