The weather is really awful right now. And it doesn't seem like it's going to get better anytime soon.

I think I'll have 1 more day where I'll be able to take the car out, fill the tank, and put her away.

But first, I've got to get emissions done.

Nov. Or whenever I will have the time to pull it apart to send to classicauto.

About what I do when I store it. Change oil and full tank of gas. Always starts right away and the engine is a 405rwhp (Mustang pull) machine that has done two trips to florida and the keys, countless track/dyno events/tuning, two ems with me playing with the tunage, various overheating etc etc somewhere in the 70,000km+++ built over 8 years ago by Mazdee's in pickering............

I'm storing mine whenever the temperature reaches 0 degrees, or November 1st, whichever comes first.

Mine will stay on the road till the last events for the year are over. It will probably be around Nov. 1st. I'll be tucking it away under it's new cover and then serious work begins on the Rx-4. I want it running and driving for spring or early summer 2010!

The first day it snows or when they start salting the roads which is usually December/January. However, I might go to Florida last week of December.

What, us FB guys don't mean ****? I usually put mine away once the first snowfall hits. One tarp underneath, one on top. This year she's already out for the count (damn apex seals) so she's got an early start. I'm going to try to get the engine pulled soon so even if there is still snow on the ground when I'm ready to get the rebuild done, I can do it.

Oh do people actually buy those permit stickers? lol My plate says Jan 06. Don't want the emissions nonsense. I've only had one ticket in three years for not having a sticker.

rx_obsessed,

Yeah, unfortunately where I live there are a ton of cops around. Peel region police will pull you over for the hell of it. Provoking them with an expired ticket is just asking for trouble.

The weather is not going to co-operate. It looks like I'm taking it out this weekend to fill the tank, and away it goes to bed.

Gotta install the winter tires on the other cars now..

I'll see how things go later this month. Since we pay for the whole month (registration) anyway, I always store it the last day of a given month. So probably Halloween but last ear was November 30th.

You have to consider not only snow, but also the fact that after the temps have fallen consistently low, the grip on the tires is just too poor to risk anything.

Oh, I,ve had a check engine on my Sentra for 2+ years now, no worries. It's just of the of 4 freakin' 200$ O2 sensors. Yep, my Sentra has 800$ worth of O2 sensors. I figure the other 3 are still doing their job so screw it

How I store her : Fill'er up, put some fuel stabil, wash her, park her, remove battery, put car cover.
